You need to gather a bunch of like-minded people to stand up front and sing loudly and badly...

Sounds like a good time to visit the bookstore with a very large, very loud boom box and some music like "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue", "God Bless the USA", "Have You Forgotten", and "Free Bird." (Who doesn't like "Free Bird"?) And about fifty friends who can sing real loud.

Although I didn't know him personally, Cornell lost a star lacrosse player from my era (77) at Cantor Fitz on 9/11. He shared a desk with three people I *did* know, all of whom left families.

Maybe someone can distribute a few copies of this headlining article from today's
New York Sun.
Iraq had role in Sept. 11 attacks, lawsuit says.
Family of famed terror expert accuses Saddam, Bin Laden

Iraq played a major role in the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon --providing Al Qaeda with money, training and material support, according to a suit filed by the family of the man described as America's foremost expert on terrorism.

I would suggest a bunch of people dressed up like crusaders singing "Onward Christian Soldiers".
Not to worry, though. A "peace" song on September 11? How pathetic! These people just aren't relevant. The Sixties are over.

(Music up: - Be sure to include a lot of E flat minor 12th chords-regardless of what key you're playing in.And don't forget to change keys every other line.Or to finish on a minor chord. It makes the music sound "important" : as in : "Yes this is important. This is VERY important !")
Oh we are gathered to moan about Peeeeeeeeeeeace
We are important
And this is important
And this is VERY important
Can't you telllllllllllllllll?
If you think any of these lines will rhyme
Or show even a child's sense of rhythm
You are mis-taaaaaaaaaaaken
Like "Not OUR President"
And his whole military/industrial
Establishmennnnnnnnnt...... (Minor chord here,please.)
We are very significant peeeeeeople
And our very ordure is perfumed
This is very important !

Oh I hate war
Unless a Democrat starts it
And I hate Bush
Unless he becomes a Democrat
And I hate the military
Except when a Democrat controls it
And I hate dope
Unless I'm smoking it.
And I hate Jesus
Unless I'm beating a Christian with Him
And I hate God
Unless he comes before damn
And I hate Congress
Except for the Democrats
And I love Al Sharpton
But I don't know why
And I love peace
Enough to riot
And I love Love
When her feet touch my ears
And I love freedom
As long as you don't have any
And I don't eat meat
Except when I do

How about some peace poetry instead ;)
A city named Ithaca, New York
Raised a generation of stoned-out dorks
two bong-hit William Blakes
and wasted hippie flakes
who lived off of Hillary's pork.
Two dikes named Tawana and Bernice
dedicated their lives to peace
they had a pet guppy
named their turkey-baster kid Moonpuppy
and milked all suckers they could fleece.

Why have it on the Commons?? Isn't Thursday the day they have those topless picnics with all those womyn at Stewart Park by the lake? Seems to me a peace sing-in and love-in would fit right along mightily well with the topless womyn by the lake ....
