A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day

Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

LBGA is a very integral part of Free Republic. She is one of the "cheerleaders" lending support to everyone she meets as well as being actively involved as a FReeper.

Some of her own accomplishments here on FR include the Inaugural Ball, CPAC, various rallies and FReeps in and around Atlanta and, most importantly, her postings about the elite Blackhawk Helicopter Corps, of which her son is a member.

Earlier in the year when two reports came out within months of one another of Blackhawk helicopters down in the Middle East, LBGA prayed and agonized about her son. She was always deliriously happy when she finally heard that her son was OK, but continued to grieve over the loss of our precious Blackhawk soldiers and prayed for the healing of their families.

.45MAN and I became privileged to know Lynne (aka LBGA) the beginning of last year. She lit up our lives with her warmth, humor and infectious enthusiasm for all things conservative.

Today, we celebrate Lynne's presence here at FR and all that she has done to contribute to its popularity. She, along with Nick Danger, created the FReeper Photo Album, the place where we can go to "put a face to" the FReepers that we meet and interact with here on FR. .45MAN and I can appreciate the work that has gone into making the FReeper Photo Album since Lynne has passed the torch on to us to be its gatekeepers. But, more on that later.

Lynne's daughter Teale and son Tyler emulate the conservative teachings of their Mom. Tyler, being a part of the elite Blackhawks and seeing active duty in the Middle East, as mentioned earlier, and Teale accompanying her Mom on a "girls' road trip" to the Inaugural Ball. So, not only has our LBGA been a strong and influential presence here on FR, her conservative values and Christian ethics have gone far in the rearing of her two wonderful and beautiful children.



As we gather today to celebrate our friend LBGA, please remember to keep her in your prayers as she currently fights a brave battle against ovarian cancer. Lynne won't be able to be with us today as she saves her precious strength to do her best in the fight for her life, but she is definitely here with us in spirit - a spirit that burns as bright as the sun above.

We ask Lord, that You guide the leaders of our great country in their hour of decision. The burden that has been placed on their shoulders is overwhelming. We ask that with Your infinite wisdom You guide them gently to the right decisions.

Please give us the strength, Lord, to get through each difficult and devastating day that faces each of us and our country. Protect and guide our Military that are now being called to duty, strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Oh my goodness...I hope Lynne gets a gander at this spectacooler thread. Its a beautiful, beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady, and the cuppa coffee, the pastries... the perfect addition. (though I'm drinking my early morning brew out of a chipped BUSH cup.

And what a surprise to see myself...twice! And standing next to my all time favorite freeper friend, (with the orange Barr sign), dear dear, Old Atlanta. I still miss him.
