He could very well have approached this whole situation without rendering judgement any more than a soldier does so when he shoots an Iraqi in Tikrit.

Absolutely true. But an argument could be made that he was protecting babies from imminent death rather than murdering a murderer.
My point, and I'm off-topic, is that abortion is murder and should be illegal. The only arguments against it are sophistry and situational ethics - although you can bet I didn't argue that line too hard with my 82 year old mother !
