I wonder what place American Indians will have in the Mecha hispano-racist world. The Mexican treatment of Indians is atrocius, but never discussed in our press. American minorities are excused of any racist notions.

I don't know why this thread isn't getting hit.
Bustamante Bump!
He should only be able to receive $21,200 because of campaign limits but is taking advantage of a loophole. I guess he receives money as Lt. Governor and then rolls it into his campaign fund.

Norm, let's brainstorm answers for this question:
What should be Cruz Bustamante's Indian name? For example, Kevin Costner once played a white cavalryman "adopted" by an Indian tribe and renamed "Dances With Wolves."
Maybe that's worth a whole Vanity post unto itself. What say?
(Someone else had the idea of Bustamante HAIKU:
See, your problem is,
You're not being taxed enough.
Vote Bustamante.

Isn't this amazing. This country has spent nearly its entire existence and trillions of dollars trying to make us all equal. My immigrant forefathers wanted all of us to be Americans and did not pass on our language, opting for english instead. Now, some seem to be saying we want to be separate, have our own languages and foresake the American culture that made this nation great? My forefathers are turning in their graves.

How right you are! Nobody does - or gives - something for nothing, esp. not to the tune of nearly $3,000,000.
