I'd imagine the Army told her to keep quiet until they got some things cleared. So, are you saying she LIED about the Amnesia? What was that about 'character'? I mean, if what you are saying is true, wouldn't it just be easier to say "Sorry. I can't comment on that. I'm under orders, and face 20 years in Leavenworth if I spill the beans."????
Oh, and Good morning :0)

WHORE: A person considered as having compromised principles for personal gain.Well, I won't pretend to know what her principles were, and/or whether she compromised them. I'll leave making that judgement to someone else...

I am not sure how he is judging that she is not a whore or a saint.
Guess judging the character of others is okay when you are #3fan almighty.

You are a looser. There was a time when the discourse on Free Republic was a little more scintillating. You must be an an aficianado of soap operas...or Friends...or both.

What are you talking about? I'm as much in favor as the next guy of folks making a buck. I also think there are times when a story needs to be told. I hope this one is truthfully. It always seemed to me there are things in the world that don't have a price tag.
Did you ever see the movie Seargent York? No.
Gary Cooper classic. I'd encourage you to rent a copy this weekend and watch it. As is often the case, I s'pect there's a bit of poetic license taken in the script, but the sentiment is appealing to me. The real Sgt. York was one of the most (perhaps THE most) decorated US soldier in WWI. He had a story that was worth a buck or two.

Think about your best friends in this world. Imagine that they are all murdered. Would you accept money for anything associated with the event? If so (and Number 3 Loser I'm sure you are nodding your head and getting excited at the prospect), then the above definition applies to you as well. You don't apply the same standard to Franks. Should he be writing a book when soldiers died in the wars he managed?

So, are you saying she LIED about the Amnesia? Did she ever say she had amnesia? All I said is she kept quiet. In amy case, if the Army told her to keep quiet for a while, she can say what she wants to keep the media off her back. Covert activity in defense of your country is fine.

Covert activity is necessary in defense of your country.

You're not standing up the the jerk either. I'm losing respect for you with every post. A Christian should stand for right, not wrong. What Silas said was wrong. You are calling good evil, and evil good.

My brother is a big military buff and wants me to watch it with him. He mentioned it a couple weeks ago.
He had a story that was worth a buck or two.
Did he survive the war?

I can't believe you won't stand up to this jerk. Spineless.Maybe it's because I don't have time to get in a long drawn out argument right this minute. Or, maybe I'm better at actually discussing things with people, and don't see the need to foam at the mouth and fly off the handle?

When did I call what he said good? Can you give me a quote? Please quote me in calling Good Evil and Evil Good. That is a serious charge for a Christian, you could at least provide a quote.
I seconded Chad's comments on the matter. That is all that needs to be said.
I DO NOT APPRECIATE HER SERVICE? Where the hell do you find that quote? I have said over and over that I thank her for her service, that I applaud her for doing her job.
But even if I did not. So? You wouldn't judge my character by my words would you? I know my actions make no difference.
You need to stop posting to me.

But since she was POW you're going to hold a microscope to her budget looking for any way to question her character. Hell of an appreciation there.
But even if I did not. So? You wouldn't judge my character by my words would you? I know my actions make no difference. You need to stop posting to me.
Words, action, not budget.

Just speaking from experience here: If you tell him not to post to you, he'll accelerate his posts to you. The only way out of this maze is to not post to him, and ignore the way he twists and distorts your words. It's hard to let things like that go unaddressed, I know, but a lot of people have seen enough of what he does to know his
modus operandi.
Don't tear your hair out. He respects no one's boundaries.
I know.
