One Freeper delightfully referred to the
Aztec as "Paul Bunyan's running shoe."

Is there a French car that isn't [gay]?

I don't know, but the Renault Scenic was specifically listed by the article as being heterosexual.

I think PT Cruisers are great, and I am NOT GAY! Guess I'm just a freak of nature, eh? ...............

Give it time. That car will make you gay.

I guess that Ford F-150 doesn't make the grade, TG!

Don't feel too bad. My 4x4 V 10 Dodge Truck isn't on the list either. Not to mention my Ford Econoline Conversion Van. My daughter's Celica might be somewhere on the list, but I am sure my boy's cars aren't there: a 1959 Chevy Fleetside and a 1962 International Scout.

Ah, you are correct! Amazing. Must be only the French who participated in this poll. Or perhaps the Scenic is just the least fruity of the French cars, and the Frog voters got "least fruity" confused with "heterosexual."

What my Chevy pickup does in the privacy of it's own garage is it's business. As long as there's not too much oil on the floor.

Hmm, I'd have to agree with the Subaru Outback (live in the SF bay area :P ), but the WRX's and the new STi's are NOT gay by any measure.

My (ex)cars:

86 Dodge 600 (HS)
94 Ford Taurus (College)
03 BMW M3
03 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution

ah, you know Dodge used to make an "straight six" - and called it a Hemmy. Maybe Chevy is going anti=homo.

IIRC, the old Mopar 225 is an inline configuration known as a "Slant Six". I'm not sure HOW that connotation fits in with the rest of this discussion! ;-)

Nothing new there. I have an inline 6 in my '03 Trailblazer.

Actually, it *is* new, or at least recent. That engine was designed specifically for the Trailblazer.

is the bellhousing pattern the same as the old 6's"? I might want to stuff one in a ChevyII.....

A Chevy II? That's on the list of "cars I really wish I'd kept". I suspect that the new engine has a unique bellhousing bolt pattern, but it would probably work best with the overdrive automatic that GM is using with it now, anyway.

I actually love rusted out cars, hot days and dirt roads...

C'mon down to Arizona. Got everything 'cept the rusty cars. They don't do that much 'round here.

"Honor Diversity", whatever that means, probably started here. And Earth First, Sierra Club, etc. are often seen, and old or current stickers bearing the name of a favorite Democrat politician. Impeach Reagan, Impeach Bush, Run Hilary Run, and so on.

We have our counters for them. Visualize Whirled Peas, Earth First (we'll log the other planets later), Save a Tree - Eat a Beaver, Impeach Clinton, and Run Hilary Run (when on the front bumper).

The ones I see lately that are displayed by both left and right are "Kill your Television", and "Question Authority".

The stickers on my old pickup I have driven since it was brand new 20 years ago are "Bush" (from 1988), a US Flag, and "Thank you envoronMENTALists for making the 2002 Oregon fire season all it could be (from our own EBUCK).

A previous sticker, "I Brake for Hallucinations" was destroyed along with the original rear half of the truck in a rather painful rear ender back in '85. It wasn't a hallucination for which I had stopped when the woman driving behined me failed to do likewise, but two carloads of high school punks who decided to stop in the middle of the city street and have a rumble. A strange set of circumstances, but the crash did stop the fight so I was the only one who would end up getting beat up that day.

It doesn't. The venerable Slant Six (aka 'Leaning Tower of Power') leans to the right.

The most laughable posts in this thread are the ones that say something like "nothing's more 'hetero' than my ride."

"Look at me. I'm a REAL man. Don't forget it." LOL.
