Try using frozen strawberries to give it a smoothie texture, also try using splenda instead of sweet&low, it tastes pretty close to sugar. Or stevia, I am told, although I don't use stevia. Unless you are used to sweet&low already - I can't stand the taste.

Also, if you like yogurt, that gives it a smoothie flavor, too. In other words, I make something very similar to what you make only I use yogurt, frozen strawberries, and splenda, and I call it a strawberry smoothie.

I use yogurt too, but it was late & raining & I used what I had. Splenda has maltodextrin, its made from corn. I am allergic to corn. I am trying to keep every trace of corn out of my diet, thats hard, corn is in almost everything in one form or the other.

A friend of mine said the Sweet 'N Low that you buy in Canada is made with cyclamate rather than saccharine. It seems the stuff is sold all over the world except in the U.S., and it tastes like sugar... no funny taste. I am trying to locate an online source from Canada. If all else fails, I'll try to find a friend who is going there. For now, I use the Sweet 'N Low you get here because of the price of Splenda.
