GW is now speaking to workers in Ohio. He's received a very warm and enthusiastic welcome from the Operating Engineers union.

I don't buy that GW does not care about workers in this country. I think he does.

of course he does, as does everyone...it's just that many of us disagree on how to go about it
now, if only I had C-span....

Yeah, but that's all the Dem cadndiates are now saying: GW doesn't care about workers, blah, blah, blah. I disagree with them.

He gave a good speech. Also, I noticed on a Dem site a poster had posted an email from Michael Moore about Labor Day. And, Mr. Moore claimed GW would be doing nothing on Labor Day, not working, on vacation, blah, blah. But, in fact, there is GW, out in the rain, talking to these workers and spending time with them on Labor Day. You never get what's really going on by reading those Dem forums.

Shocking!! LOL! I'm just messing with you! We all know that if we want the truth all we have to do is listen to our Commander in Chief to tell it to us! He's the MAN!!!

I'll bet it's Bush's fault

LOL...well, you know, if Michael Moore had honestly said "GW will be in Ohio, giving a speech to the Operating Engineers Union in the rain, but I don't think that's much" OK, whatever. But, Michael Moore tries to make it sound like GW is at back at the ranch taking a nap or something all day, and that's just not quite true.

Here's Mr. Moore's take on it:
=-----------------------
Greetings Friends,
For his part, George W. Bush will spend Labor Day doing what he does best not really working. Instead of protecting the country (Ill have much more to say on that in the coming weeks) or addressing the nations floundering economy...
--------------------------------
Yet, talking about the economy and other matters is exactly what GW did today.

Yeah.....he was just relaxing, and having a great time today, alright.......

You know what gets me the most, summer, is that jerks like Moore can lie through their teeth about the President, and no one ever calls them to account for it.
It's enough to make you sick.........

Thanks for posting that photo, ohioWfan. Moore can spout his views, but the misinformation is disturbing to me. If Mr. Moore can't get it right that GW was speaking to union workers today, how does Mr. Moore expect me, an independent voter, to believe anything else he says about GW?
Same thing with Al Franken. The guy pens false letters to John Ashcroft, as if John Ashcroft doesn't have enough work to do, and has the nerve to use Harvard's stationary without Harvard's permission - and then wants me to buy a book about the liars on the right. I don't know why Mr. Franken can't understand this, but I haven't run out and bought his book yet. And, while I might have read it, I don't even care to read it now.

He cares about the Union *vote*, not the unions or the lazy-*sses who work in them. Here's an economic stimulus plan: all you unemployed whiners out there GO OUT AND GET A JOB, D*MMIT!!!! I guess that's to much truth for the jobless whiners, if GWB told the truth in front of a bunch of teamsters he'd be run out on a rail.

Um, US as in the United States. The US of A which I know and love which used to stand for something, which stands up to commies, will someday stand up to the abortionist heathens, where the _pursuit_ of life liberty and happiness is guarenteed, but not the actual result of the pursuit. We stood up to commies once, we can do it again, and if you ain't on board then I suggest you jump ship now, my friend, because the people at Free Republic represent FREEDOM as opposed to laziness and heathen hedonism and bl*w j*bs in the oval office. I wish that GW would just tell these commie unioners to leave town or get a real job, but he can't cuz the liberals have too much mind control over the populace to make that politically feasible. So, we will continue to live in a socialist welfare state where everybody tries to live off of my dime instead of working for aliving. Imagin that! Work for you own food instead of mooching off the hard working among us!
What is (the) U.S., you ask!! Think! Do you want to join US? or continue to worship at the alter of Leninism and athiesm that this country has turned into?
But I guess those 2.5 million slobs outa work still DESERVE a job. You're right.

He does care about working classes just so long as they don't disagree with the big corporate special interests.
