[history]
September 1, 2003 -- Two Saudis arrested moments after the massive car-bombing in An Najaf last week were picked up when passers-by noticed them sending an e-mail that read, "Mission accomplished: The dog is dead."
According to The Times of London, the two suspects went to an Internet cafe after the blast to send the e-mail.

Oddly enough, neither of these two men were featured on the Saudi television ad campaign now flooding the airwaves in the U.S.

Yea, that is what I was thinking. Nothing like sending a redundant message that labels you as the perpetrator and the recipient as a co-conspirator! The utter stupidity of the action reported here make me suspicious of it.
Then again, there are a lot of stupid people in the world.

kat: I am no good at searches, so I am going to post this link here in case it has already been posted. It is an astonishing (and fascinating) story directly connecting AQ to Saudi Arabia.
