You dolts are amusing - jack up the minimum wage, and the people paying the biggest price for it are the workers who had been a buck or two above the minimum wage. I might be able to afford the extra dime for the bag of fries, but the guy who was making a buck more than minimum sure can't.

Yeh, that dang Lincoln! He started it all! Now, EVERYBODY expects a living wage!

I'm just curious--how long has it been since you had to LIVE on minimum wage? How long since you even had to live on $5.35 an hour? I would bet the difference that you are making much more than $5.35 an hour.

You do understand that if I raise the mimimum wage by 10 cents that the cost of everything goes up by 10 cents and they buying power of 5.45 becomes just as strong as the 5.35, right?

Besides that, those that earn 5.35 get MY tax money in food stamps and rent vouchers. I have no sympathy for those who do not pull themselves out of a 5.35 an hour job. When I was stuck there in 1982, I was working three jobs. Take some more of my tax money and go to school. It will be hard for a while but you won't be b!tching anymore.

Well whose fault is THAT?!? I don't make minimum wage because I don't want to. My grandparents made much less at one point, but as opposed to sitting around and whining about things like you do, they changed that. Instead of complaining, if you are worried about what you make, I suggest you change that as well.
