PHOENIX - Barry Bonds was hospitalized Sunday night because of exhaustion following his father's death.

Bonds was scratched from San Francisco's lineup just minutes before Sunday night's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, one day after he left a game because of an accelerated heart rate.

According to Jose Canseco well over half of major league base ball players are on the roids. Curt Shilling told Dan Patrick that if you even suspect it, they probably are.

Bonds bulked up and more than doubled his home run production at the age of 36. No one can tell me that Bonds, a great base stealer and power hitter before this time, never engaged in weight training. That negates the "He started working out hard argument".

Bonds, like Mc Gwire, Tiger Woods, Sosa, and Canseco is on a serious roid program.

The only people Bonds has an adversarial relationship with are the media - unfortunately, they are the imagemakers, and it's easy for them to write columns quoting every malcontent who ever rudely interrupted Bonds at dinner for an autograph only to (quite properly) get brushed off.

We Giants fans, who see the guy perform every day, know who Bonds really is.

It's worth noting at this point that not a single darn one of you knows jack squat about whether or not Bonds has used "roids".

This is so true. To the Bonds-hater one asks "what has he ever done to you?" The answer starts out "well I read this one article where..."

The point being, reporters don't like Bonds cuz Bonds has never gotten very chummy with reporters. Fine.

The weird conclusion is, a bunch of "baseball fans", as a result, started disliking Bonds. For, uh, not going out to have beers with reporters after each game and stuff, apparently.

The question of why any baseball fan would give a rat's a** about whether sports reporters feel treated nicely by Barry Bonds often goes unanswered.

STFU! I lost my father to cancer and had to make 3 emergency trips across the country in his last six months. I then helped my mother through all the post-death details and then my mother had to deal with my daughter that had convinced her she should sell her home and buy my sisters home so my sister could upgrade to a better home after having just announced she was getting divorced; announced to my mother just one week after my father's death. Neither my mother or myself were hospitalized. And I missed only 5 days work (authorized).
