I wouldn't count it as a win if it were Nevada, or Idaho, or Alabama, or Texas. In California, denying the RATS of an office is a win in and of itself. In New York City, Giulianni was a win.

When you win, things are possible. When you lose, nothing is possible. We are beyond moral victories on the west coast -- they don't exist here. The Greens (and groups even further to the left: The Nihilists who are into depopulation) are on the move and growing in power. The RATS are running to them.

Maybe Arnold is 1/3 of a loaf. Maybe he's less than that. But if you just achieved a moderately conservative fiscal policy and nothing else, you've gotten something when otherwise you'd get nothing. Republicans are not going to start down the long road back on the west coast without making a first step...and without winning something, somewhere.

Do not despise small beginnings.

The entire point is that Liberal Republicans in office do not represent small beginnings for conservatives.

Use your memory or do some research.

What I despise is delusion.
