Once again, MTV throws wild party
MSNBC ^

I am so disgusted with our society, where everything's accepted and nothing is sacred. The article about Britney Spears and Madonna at the MTV music awards is just one of the examples that we have lost all morals and now are on a down hill slope to rock bottom. I saw this article and it sent me over the edge. Have all women lost complete respect for themselves??? This is surely the devils playground.

Just imagine how many kids were watching the poison last night and in re-runs My kid wasn't.
Think of it as Evolution in Action.

Hey, haven't I bumped into you around this topic before? Nice profile page, btw :-)
I see this kiss as an act of desperation on the part of the women. Britney has just "jumped the shark".

I assume your earlier pulled post was about people complaining too much. I tend to agree. I quit watching, or caring about MTV, about ten years ago.

Look, if you are female, guys are gonna be attracted to you anyway. It's how nature works, the drumbeat of gay propaganda notwithstanding. But if you go all flash to make them flock to you, you are going to end up with someone whose attention span keeps you together just long enough to really hurt you when he's drawn to the next flash. Wow. That whacked me between the eyes. *So True* You just earned a permanent spot in the Honest Guy's Hall of Fame. Bravo!
P.S. - You'll have FReepmail from the Tardy Bootless later on... :-)

You know Swarthyguy as a Stone's fan and lover of Rock-N-Roll in general it has become an embarrassment to turn on MTv. I play guitar and love guitar driven rock but MTv has rendered Rock-N-Roll music utterly useless as a media form today. I thought I would never say that but it has become a side show of voyeurism that goes nowhere. It is just lame. In the beginning Rock was anti-establishment which had it good and bad points but it was about making cool music that sometimes made a point and sometimes it was just great to listen too. But record companies, Rolling Stone Magazine, MTv, Blender, the artists, and etc have become the establishment and are doing their best to force their version(or should that be perversion) of the product down our throats. It is all the same. When one goes to buy a Cd it is like grocery shopping of laundry detergent. Which will clean my clothes better Tide, Gain, or Cheer. Which Cd should I buy Blah 1, Blah 2, or Blah 3. Ever now and then I will find a gem but it has become rare.
The kiss thing to me had no shock value or point except to say "Our ratings and record sells suck so bad we now have to resort to this in hope of getting attention. Please buy our crappy Cd's. We are too lazy to produce good product for your listening pleasure."

Video killed the Radio Star!
I'm back into oldies; ie - no drum machines, please.
It's barely music anymore, rather showbiz and softporn.
Well, lots of dead musicians and some live ones to enjoy anyway.

Very interesting post - you sound a little disgruntled. I agree w/ you 100%
