In defense of the out-of-staters, "as California goes - so goes the Nation" but it is irksome when they are more interested in stirring the pot than getting information. And personal insults or baiting is never acceptable - in state or out of state.

I live and vote in Fresno, California, along with another great McClintock supporter--Jim Robinson.

No, I don't really agree. I am following the polls, and if there's a surge I think I'll flop. I've put the word 'think' in because I'm not sure. From what I see from my dealings with angelenos is that any real conservative is toast. I'm sorry this is McC that we're talking about. He is a good man. But, I am starting to say 'think' because I'm not sure if voting against the recall would protect us against bustamecha better than a vote for McC. Damn, I don't even know how I can think those thoughts!

There aren't enough conservatives in CA to elect McClintock, just as there weren't enough of us to elect Dan Lungren or Bill Simon. Sorry to disagree with you.

Its first poll showed Arnold at 51 and McClintock
at 4. and this one 45 and 11.

When they had McClintock at 4 he was really at 9
so when then show him at 11 he may already be in the
20s.

Should have a new poll out this weekend.
And I bet it at least shows McClintock real
close to Arnold.

It all makes sense now. You do not have to live under the results of this election; therefor, you can push for your fantasy without personal risk.

Oh, knock off the self-righteous posturing.

We all have a stake in the outcome. Your state holds more economic and electoral power than any other state, and the truism holds true to great degree: As California goes, so goes the nation.

Schwarzenegger does nothing but empower leftwing politicians and policies...the very politicians and policies that have spent CA to its current crisis.

If Californians are stupid enough to vote for Bustagassy over McClintock after 4 years of Davis then they get what they deserve. Bustagassy will only make the problems far worse, and would probably lose re-election to a Republican.

I am following the polls...

Well, then knock it off. ;-)

Start following the core principles that made this country great, and let the polls take care of themselves.

Don't believe the highly likely voter label.

survey USA uses computer dial and then
anyone answering pushes buttons.
No way to make sure even a voter is answering.

That is why Arnold is so high. Lots of nonvoters
and nonvoters would only know Arnold and so
he get almost all if not all their votes.
surveyUSA not a real poll.

No one takes it seriously.

Being a toadie isn't an insult. Its a discription. Y'know, somebody who kisses up all the time.

By the way, how is turning this whole issue into some uptight spelling bee going to convince anyone that McCrackpot is the right choice?
On what evidence do you base the "McCrackpot" epithet on?

You were a hall monitor in grade school weren't you???
Uh huh... in high school... but only so's I could let my buddies off the hook.

Oh, oh, I made another typo! *GASP!*
Actually, you made quite a few.  So many of them, in fact, that it now appears to be on purpose. I hope.

Are you going to spank me now???
I'll save the more prurient comments for another time.

Yes, there are. Remember, the key is not whether you have the majority living in the state, but whether you have the majority of those showing up to vote. This is actually one the ideal times in recent California history when a true conservative can win due to the frustration many feel with the democrat Davis, and the likely voters whi will show up (many conservatives).

No thank you. I agree with the other fellow, and quite frankly feel that you are the self-righteous one. I like Arnie. But hey, I like Ronnie, too.

Those two ran terrible campaigns.

So they hardly are proof conservatives can't win
they are proof that a candidate who runs a conservative
and fails to defend his views and acts ashamed
of being a conservative gets beat in California.

Simon only lost by 5% in running prehaps the worst
campaign in history.
And Lungren loss had more to do with voters
digust with Wilson than with Lungren.
