MSNBC had an item on NEW rumblings about HRC running in 2004.. It was in conjunction with more on Wes Clark also getting serious about a run..Mentioned something about a 'high level mtg' that the OTHER Dem candidates were informed of.... Ickes has formed a 'soft money group' which could benefit HRC, and, again, some high level mtg about the possibility of her running. ..Nachman and Bill Press will be discussing this SOON on msnbc...tune in NOW.

I disagree. If you listen to what women said about the "flight suit" issue, the sexual attraction thing strongly works for Bush. Moreover, the "children" has EVERYTHING to do with the War on Terror, and that in no way works to Hillary's advantage. You're wrong on this one.

I guarantee you every one of my male colleagues in my history department except perhaps two would vote for her.

Not talking about the same people. I'm talking about large numbers of Freepers who were won over to Bush after 9/11, but who have pulled back due to various concerns.

And you make PRECISELY the point that I have made here for a couple of weeks: the ONLY Dem candidate who would a) unite the Dems and b) NOT unite the Republicans is . . . Algore. As bad as he is, he does not fully carry the onus of Der Schlickmeister, and many of the Freepers I mentioned above would stay home in a Bush/Gore rematch. But they would NOT stay home if the Hildabeast was the nominee.

Those of you on this thread and on Free Republic that might relish the thought of Hillary getting in the 2004 race need to reflect carefully on this.

If she is running it's because she thinks Bush is vulnerable and he well might be if the economy doesn't pick up. His best issue to run on is the terrorism platform that he can keep America safer than Hillary, that I truly believe.

All polls taken on the Democratic field indicate that if Hillary decides to run that she goes to the top of the list with at least 45% amoung the Democratic base. She will ahve no trouble raising money, even at this date and can literally walk away with the nomination. Howard Dean and the rest will be just a memory.

You can Never, I repeat Never underestimate Hillary and Bill Clinton. Even though most polls show that the country is tired of them, etc., they will still play well in those areas of the country that are moderate to liberal. Take a look at the 2000 Presidential Race map. If Hillary only runs well in a few key states, just like Gore she is within striking distance of winning and it may well come down to Florida again.

It will then be more important than ever to keep the House & Senate, or at least one them to keep her from passing the Communist/Socialist agenda she wants.

It's a long way to November 2004 and there is a lot that can happen including a Hillary/Clark ticket.

I have thought all along that Clark has to be getting into the this thing on some prearranged plan with the Clintons.

All I can say is that we can take nothing, and I mean nothing for granted next year including Bush being an automatic sho in for re-election.

This means we have to work that much harder and we have to get the vote out.

One thing though is that the choice will very clear to the voters between the Very Left-Trotskyite Democrats and the Conservative to Middle Republicans. I think the line in the sand will have been drawn.

Little Dickie Morris said she wouldn't run until 2008. Maybe she sees how weak the others are and sees herself riding in "to save the day".

Never forget...just how weak Bush is...

Bill Press just made this statement:
"At 3:15pm today, I stated that there is no way Hillary is running, since then, I got a phone call from a staffer on Capitol Hill who told me that they were at an event with her 2 weeks ago, and that the next day, she called him, and said to him": "I really enjoyed your speech yesterday, and by the way, folks are urging me to run in 04, if I decide to, DO I HAVE YOUR SUPPORT?"

the other reason Gore can unite the base is he can be very vague in his statements since he was "robbed" and has already run. Thus, he can avoid some of the leftist panderfests. He doesn't need to introduce himself (although he seems to change personalities often) since he is a well known liberal.

Bill had said earlier that he is "a great fan of Hillary", had seen her a few weeks ago at which time she told him flat out that she will fill out her term as Senator, and NOT run for pres...that is why he said at 3:15pm today that he was sure she would not run, because he BELIEVED her!

He did not specify as to whether he would vote for her, but it sounds like it..

lend someone in your work Barbara Olson's "Hell to Pay"...if they refuse to read it, ask them if they care if Bill Clinton pardoned terrorists to help Hillary's NY Senate seat (have knowledge referenced)

Another possible running mate for Hillary is Braun.

Eva or Carol Mosley?
