I got this in my email (yes, I work at a college). It was forwarded by the college president. Is there an opportunity in here somewhere?

Email text follows:

Earlier this month, the UN Foundation, Open Society Institute and Rockefeller Brothers Fund, invited your university to participate in The People Speak: America Debates Its Role in the World, a national debate series. Following up on that letter, I am emailing you to once again draw your attention to this project and invite your school to organize one of these debates.

The impetus for this project was the Council on Foreign Relations’ Council Policy Initiative (CPI), entitled: “A New National Security Strategy: In An Age of Terrorists, Tyrants, and Weapons of Mass Destruction,” which was published in June of this year. From this report, our three foundations launched a nationwide public education effort aimed at stimulating a national dialogue on the importance of America’s foreign policy. With your help, we hope to organize a thousand debates starting the first two full weeks of October.

We will provide you with extensive materials to assist in the planning and execution of your event including debate kits, media-related tools, and funding options.

The United States is at a turning point in its history, and your leadership is key to ensuring a broad national dialogue about questions that affect us all. Engaging young minds and voices on this issue is critical. The People Speak offers a great opportunity for students, departments, classes, and individual professors to get involved in a national debate on U.S. foreign policy. Hundreds of universities and colleges have already signed up.

If you would like to become involved in these debates, please contact Brendon Donckers at the United Nations Foundation at 202-887-9040, or by e-mail at bdonckers@unfoundation.org .

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

I wonder if conservative and patriotic voices would be welcome in these debates. Welcome or not, they SHOULD be there. Is there an opportunity here for Freepers to have a positive impact?
