Are you saying that this is the only reason the Spainsh conquered the Aztecs ?

I do know that the Spainards were quite upset with this practice and I do believe that the Aztecs had it coming and I sure don't want this practice coming to the USA via 3rd world immigration.

Of course not the ONLY reasons, but the Catholic Spaniards (who ironically were torturing people during the inquisition) were repuled by human sacrifice, and sought to eliminate the practice.
