They deleted my account because I admitted to being a freeper, even though I was perfectly civilized, and the replies I got in my messages were friendly. (It was a thread asking "How could people possibly support the Iraq war?")
People complain about censorship on FR, but it's nothing compared to DU's.

Arnold's move to the US and comments on life in Austria are stinging rebukes to the whole European welfare state culture. By all accounts, he was not fond of his father and it's unlikely to the extreme that his father's politics would have appealed to him.
I think we can clear him of any Nazi-related charges.
Bustamante, on the other hand, probably thinks his MEChA connection will help him with Latinos now. After all, they're 10% of the vote, and he's hovering around 20%. If he has even half the Latino vote now, that's a quarter of his total support, and he desperately needs to hold on to it or even expand it to win.

Totally agree with you... Arnold has said for many many years he is regretful for his fathers actions!

Larry Elder really disappointed me there. Whites from the south could just as easily say joining an on campus KKK Club was a right of passage.
Number one, colleges wouldn't allow such an organization on compus. 300 universities in the U.S. do allow MECHA clubs, 100 in California alone.
Second, anyone joining one of them whould NEVER be defended for any reason.
This double standard just baffles me, and I would think someone in a race that had been oppressed by just such an orgranization, would clearly understand the true nature of La Mecha.
Doesn't this statement make it clear to Elder? MEChA's motto is "for the race, everything. For those outside the race, nothing."
Now I realize that Elder came back with a comment about the Mecha being like the KKK, but that first comment just leave my jaw dropped. Right of passage? Sheesh.

The reason I didn't point it out was that not only was I the only gringo in there, but everyone else in the office was giving me this patient "State your business and get outta here, vato" stareNice fellow-workers you have there.
Is there anybody out here who doesn't believe all this will lead to deep trouble if not confronted now?

This story may be getting legs, but only FOX News is reporting it. Anyone want to bet it will never see the light of day at ABCBSNBCCNN?

Have you get any answer? Since you sent it to a flak, you ought to get something. If not, please contact the president--personally.

Further David, it's quite a bit easier for us to come to the conclusion that the brown shirts was a bad organization, having never had a family member in them, much less a father. To Schwarzenegger's credit, he doesn't try to pass the brown shirt issue off by "we didn't know" or some other blather. Even with his dad in the group, he realized it was wrong. He has tried to attone for that as far back as 1990.
If there were the slightest hint of Schwarzenegger being a racist, I'd be concerned. I am not concerned about this issue with him. I think it's a shame that it was ever brought up in light of the way he has conducted himself.
Mentioning things from a person's father's past is wrong, unless there is any hint of that same behavior in the son. I don't khow why this was ever addressed by the press.
No, I just can't imagine.... not! SLIME JOB ALERT!

I have seen the TV broadcast of the anti-illegal alien protesters being beaten, and it is dreadful. It is what the brown shirts did to people in Germany. I don't want to beat it to death, but FreePers need to keep this type of thing in mind, and if you are going to protest something, have a LOT of video cameras handy. And remember, some members of the opposition are so violent that they won't care if they are being videotaped and jail or prison doesn't scare them. Having lots of people with concealed carry permits works even better. I was at an anti-Gore protest in Philadelphia in 2000, and we remember Don Adams getting beaten up by Teamsters while protesting Clinton a few years earlier. From just the people I know about, we had more firepower in the crowd than the average SWAT entry team.

I got banned from DU for making the statement that Michael Moore's BOWLING did a disservice to anyone who cited it, since most of the movie's facts were very easy to debunk.
I had only posted about 50ish posts and all of them were in support of the RKBA, but I made sure to never post anything that would ID me as conservative, freeper, or even libetarian. As far as they knew I was just some old guy whose family had voted Demo for 100 years but believed in the RKBA - and they banned me.

For a 'rite' of passage, that is the correct spelling.
Totally different word and meaning than 'right'.

You are correct sir. Sorry.
To: jmstein7
I question the main stream media will pick up on this. I doubt the big networks or big state newspapers will cover this important subject.
To: jmstein7
MEChA has also been associated with anti-Semitic groups like Nation of Aztlan. Forget anti-Semitic. More importantly, they are anti-American.

Sorry, that didn't come out right. I meant that the fact that they're anti-Semitic is not as important as the fact that they're anti-American (as well as being against everything not Chicano).

The former Soviet Union is full of people who were members of the Communist Party. Arnold's father had no more connection with the Holocaust than these Russians did to the Gulag and the mass starvings in the Ukraine.

Bothersome. In Texas these racists haven't got very far. A Bustamante governorship, hoiwever. might encourage them to come forward.
