Looks like McClintock is comfortable with his role as a "spoiler" for Arnold. He has a history of losing in tight races. So be it. California Republican can kick themselves for the next 4 years -- then for another 4 years -- because Bustamonte will be the Governor.
Ousting Gray Davis will be a phyrric victory at best. Bustamonte, with his hidden Mexican-illegals agenda will turn Californicated into a trash heap.
The Clintons could not have written a better script to turn Califonia into a third world country.

Tom is giving it a race. If Arnold can stand the heat it will only make him strong. And I don't think Arnold's stance as a moderate Republican is quite by accident. Go Tom, go!!!

Yes, Gray Davis retaining power would be 100 times better than Bustamante, who's first act would no doubt be to allow Mexicans with Matricula cards to VOTE, setting off a nationwide crisis. A vote for McClintock is a vote for Bustamante. I'd rather have a governor who is comfortable in orgies, than one who's idea of an "orgie" is mass murder of Gringos, Jews and blacks.

Sounds to me like McClintock has a viable plan to fix California.
Arnold and Busta plan to spend more money to try and fix things.
A plan to spend is a plan that will fail.
Failure with a D-Governor is simply business as usual in California. Failure with an R-Governor will ultimately doom California to a long string of D-government and a hundred years of socialism.
However, the last time California had success with an R-Governor, we were eventually blessed with one of the greatest presidents of all time

With Arnold's "positions" on issues like supporting amnesty for illegal aliens, tax increases and gun control, why aren't Republicans pressuring him to drop out so the voters can have a clear choice... fiscally conservative McClintock or tax and spend Bustamante? It's obvious who would win at this point, and it wouldn't be the loudmouth, MECHa blowhard.

Tick, tock, tick, tock....that is the sound of the clock counting down the time until Tom drops out of the race to support the leader, Arnold. He will do so for the same reason that Issa and Simon did.

Dear Oregon,
because Bustamonte will be the Governor.
Excuse me, but where exactly where you when Davis was running against Simon? Bustamante is just a continuation of same Admin with the exact same $8 tax increase proposal, and Davis got elected to a 4 year term and I heard nary a peep out of Oregon. Why is it, when a movie star with an (R) in his name is running, suddenly you "care" so much about California? Thanks for nothing.
Last time I checked, Davis was wanting Drivers Licenses for Illegals, what is the difference in the La Mecha candidate? The only "opportunity" the State of California has in following the advice of the fame-fans is to attach tax increases and economic disaster to the Republican party. "The Stupid Party" indeed.

I think Arnold is comfortable with his role as a "spoiler" for conservatives. I guess that we should all vote for arnold in order to get liberalism of a lessor degree than Davis or Bustamante. That would be the real pyrric victory.
Whatever happened to trying to achieve conservative goals?

Arnold if elected would continue the same policies
that are bringing the state down.
McClintock is the one fighting for what is
right and for what can turn the state around.
Just a (R) will not help the state at all.

Looks like McC maintains a strong distant third place with his stranglehold on conservative talk radio listeners.
Where is the needed cross over?
