Tuesday, September 9th Terri's husband Michael has been at odds with her parents for years. There is a new development in the case of Terri Schiavo.Terris parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, have filed an emergency motion to have Judge George Greer removed from the case. The 39-year-old Pinellas County womans husband Michael Schiavo is fighting them on the issue.
Terri has been in what some doctors call a persistent vegetative state for the past 13 years. Her parents and husband have been at odds over whether or not to remove her feeding tube or keep it in place.
The Schindlers want Judge Greer to step aside. A hearing is scheduled for Thursday and Greer is expected to make a decision on the matter at that time. The Schindlers want Greer to recuse himself from the case because they feel he cant make a fair decision. They point to some comments the judge has made to the media in the past as proof.
