Thanks for posting the poll, MarMema. My reaction was one of revulsion when I first saw the poll, too. My thinking was we could let the pro-euthanasia group run away with it or fight back.

I hope the feedback makes TBO decide to take the poll down so that we are not forced to view the online exhibition of the callousness and gullibility of humanity.

I hope Greer's father had a more peaceful death than the one Greer plans for Terri.

It seems as if Greer's father was a native of PA (Arthur A. Greer, last residence Dunedin FL, born 2 Nov 1925, d.  9 Sep 2000, had lived in PA. ) I think this is the "Old Neighborhood" for the Greers...

Heavenly Father, we return to acknowledge that You are God ... that You are sovereign, and Your ways are unknowable. Such is this time, Lord, for I cannot see the way in which You would have us go, but may we rest content in the knowledge that You are at work in the life of Terri Schiavo. Give strength and courage to all who labor on her behalf ... give wisdom beyond measure to all those who speak on her behalf ... and give victory to all those who seek a continuation of her life.

Father, I would again ask that You would stay the hands of all those who would do her harm ... may they be caught in webs of their own making ... by Your grace, may they see the error of their ways, and repent.

Bless these dear FReepers who are using their talents of research and persuasion and networking and prayer and fasting and encouragement ... reward them in the knowledge that their work is noble and their cause is just ... and, Father, we so want Terri returned to those who love her, that she might be restored in some measure. Florida's more concerned that the Bucs lost on Sunday. But, on line polls can be skewed. If we went there which we don't have time to do, the numbers would turn out differently.

Those who voted against Terri are just skimming headlines which are usually inaccurate.

I do not know what paper is in Orlando - but in Pinnellas most people read the St. Petersbugh Times. Which I believe is owned by the New York Times. This may help explain the bias in Pinnellas.

Of course, in most other situations, she would scorn "states rights" as racism, homophobia, sexism, etc.

And she comes from the hometown of Joe McCarthy. Yet she knows nothing about smear campaigns against the innocent.

This case is about to explode in our face. If Greer won't allow her to have even a week to relearn to swallow food and water, she will dehydrate. Of course, she may be unable to swallow even with months of efforts.

And, furthermore, even if she could swallow, she can't pick up the food or water to put it to her lips. And the Schiavo bodyguards won't allow her to be fed by hand.

This is a sick state of affairs. I will never hold FL in anything but scorn again.

I cannot imagine the hell the Schindlers have been through for so long. The powers that be in FL seem unconcerned about the turmoil caused to this family. How they must wish they had stayed in PA!
