wow thanks. I have never read of the Orthodox church having a statement about this, but perhaps they expect it to be obvious to us.
(except the one writing I found on the Russian church, that is...)

I have this really devout and close friend who is Greek Orthodox and she called me this evening. I had sent her a prayer request for Terri by email a few days ago.

I wish you could have heard her speaking. She has a very thick accent. She said "If ze brain is not dead, *why* they kill her??"

It's so funny to hear from someone outside this group and how simple it seems to them.

I wouldn't doubt it, but I don't know if it's true. Like deo volente says, it's still true for Roman Catholics.

The thing about denying Terri a priest seemed about as low as you could get to me.

Yeah, that's been a real sticking point for me, too. Who does Schiavo really think he's trying to fool? I think he's doing nothing less than mocking God Himself, but that's my opinion. God will not be mocked! At some point, Schiavo will get his due. Let's just pray it's not too late for Terri to get the justice she so richly deserves!

Oh you do that too? I do relief work at a hospital and jump around on shifts some. But this is about Terri and the morbid morbid morbid barbaric possibility ahead of us.

If I lie down to sleep I am sometimes physically ill about it.

I should take a break, probably, but I don't know if it will help me. You (all) don't really know me but I only used to come here to comment on the islamic stuff and argue doctrine in the religion forum. For years.

The horror of this story, and then some time off so that I could do research into things, finding one more patient, then another, then another, literally finding in each writing a mention of yet another name....

It has really upset me like few other things in my life.

This is perhaps the most *wrong* thing I have encountered in a long, long time.

Besides that I have one son with juvenile diabetes, he was dxed at age 2, and is now 12. He is going to be facing complications in his lifetime. My husband and I have a daughter we adopted from Russia who had very deformed feet at age 6. It turned out she has these two huge holes in her spine. So far, thank God, she has had no progession but what she has often does progress. So she also could someday be among the more disabled in society.

So I am reading this stuff and after the initial horrors, it became worse, because it then was about the future of my children. ( one other child we adopted is very delayed and probably brain-damaged).

Sorry to digress here but you know you bring these kids home from Russia thinking you are giving them a better life, not a death sentence.

For me this issue has been a huge one in so many ways. No wonder I can't sleep. :-)

Has anyone thought of trying to call into the Bill OReilly
or Sean Hannity Shows? I'll bet if they find out about
this so called "husband" trying to end his wife's life
with the approval of these "learned" Judges, their voices
will be heard across the country.

The disgusting part is that doctors say with rehabilitation
and therapy, she could get well!

I will try calling these two talk shows tomorrow (9/10)-
anyone care to join me?

The answer is yes, for sure. And how many judges were really involved in the case and knew the details like Greer does?

I think Felos would like to snooker readers into assuming 11 "unbiased" judges were involved and that those 11 judges provided 11 individual unbiased rulings.

My guess is that most of those 11 rulings came from George W. Greer.
