I wonder what the AMA thinks about the legal-medical crisis that Terri Schiavo is in?The AMA has pretty much sanctioned this. See the link I posted as a good read somewhere back there, the one under the Nurses for Life site.
To: MarMema
From page 15 of that very long read...
"The AMA's medical council on ethical and judicial affairs 1999 report on medical futility in end of life care states that their report limits itself to the use of interventions in patients with life-threatening illnesses, but then contradicts itself in stating that the "use of life-sustaining or invasive interventions in patients in the persistent vegetative state or who are terminally ill may only prolong the dying process", thereby lumping PVS with the terminally ill although no terminal illness exists in the PVS patient."
A medline search brings up scores of writings that are dedicated to the compassionate end of life in brain-damaged patients.

I just came across this on another FR site:
Research into the Church Of Scientology has revealed some of Hollywood's most powerful stars may have signed documents giving up their right to psychiatric care and to see relatives. Celebrities including Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Kirstie Alley, Juliette Lewis and Lisa Marie Presley could sign contracts banning the privileges as they move up the church's hierarchy, according to website Page Six. Documents relating to the bans have been uncovered by David Touretzky, a research professor at Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania, America, who has been studying the religion for six years. One such document specifies advanced training can only happen after members "forever (give) up (the) right to sue the church and its staff for any injury or damage suffered in any way connected with Scientology". Religious cult expert Rick Ross writes on his website, "It seems that Scientologist superstars like Tom Cruise, John Travolta and wealthy patrons such as Lisa Marie Presley may be signing away rights most citizens within free countries take for granted."
The villains in the Schiavo case are believed to be Scientologists.

I realize your frustration. I am also frustrated that the dire straits that Terri Schiavo is in doesn't move people who could step in.
I've faxed Jeb Bush this evening since my emails to him wouldn't go through. I have a letter ready for mailing to J. Greer tomorrow. I'm going to try the radio talk show circuit next. As frustrating as this is, I'm not done yet. At the end of my fax to Jeb I wrote "Stand for Terri or stand for nothing!"

Since it's Friday, anyone who wants to contact the FBI should refer to the post with their building on it for the email address. Otherwise, try to see if they have voicemail at the FBI.

They're all from Ohio-Pa. If she's a second cousin or something, nobody would have reason to know it. But, she could spike the media. The media is definitely spiking this story.

The governor can actually do quite a bit. Remember that the attorney general and the state attorney both answer to him directly. No, he cannot butt into an active court case that is not a state case, but he can cause an investigation and he can (most likely) assign a guardian - whether the long-suffering Judge Greer is hip to the idea or not.
The Department of Children and Families as well as their arm, Adult Protective Services also answer to Jeb. I wonder if their phones are ringing off the hooks.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the Governor is doing something right now... quietly.... behind the scenes. Remember that Maggot Schiavo insulted him pretty harshly on national television. I view that as challenging him to up it a notch. Someone needs to put a Buick in that boy's mouth.
In any event, I have read a few of the posts here, trying to connect the gots. You Freepers are so close to how we are going to stop these criminals. So close. If anyone knows of a decent PI, send them my way.

I can't afford to buy a search but if you visit
http://www.myflorida.com, they have an FDLE search. All you do is put the name in. If they've done something and have a record, something will pop up or it will say "nothing found".

On t.v., Felos called her terminally ill, that it would be unacceptable & FUTILE to treat a problem in a dying person. FACT: She isn't dying if you treat the problem. How ironic that they don't view us all as "dying", just at different rates. So while we are in the process of dying a little bit every day, we are also in the process of living. To me it's just weird that they can't see the obvious!

Well, people are stepping in .. on one of my lists a listmember knows one of their Congressional representatives and that representative is going to be contacting other representatives and officials. Never give up! Let's keep up the massive actions.

That's a bit of good news. I know I'm not throwing in the towel.
I hope kimmie7's ping list is growing. I've seen names on Terri's threads that are new to me and those folks are helping too.

Ohioan from FL wrote: "To me it's just weird that they can't see the obvious!"
I think they can see the obvious, Ohioan. They have, as the Bible says, hardened their hearts and worship mammon. Euthanasia is just a popular form of atheism. Atheism denies God, and euthanasia denies life. It's a form of "death worship" practiced by some elites in the United States and Europe today.
Remember, these killers have a financial interest in Terri's starvation.
