Folks, this is just the beginning. You are going to see a lot more of this before election day.

1977? He was probably partying with then governor Jerry Brown.

I'll tell you, I'm going to vote for the Republican frontrunner no matter who he is. But it makes me a little uncomfortable. We're going to be accused of hypocrisy in a way that resonates with a lot of voters out there for on the one hand criticizing Bill Clinton for his many failings, then a few years later jumping wholeheartedly on the Arnold bandwagon.

My favorite quote, and totally clean, which must be read aloud in your best Arnold accent:
"I realize there's only one Arnold in the world, that there's never been an Arnold before, and the one thing that won't work on the screen is my being an ass-kicker. If Robert De Niro kills in Taxi Driver, it's perfect, because he's a little guy and people are 100 percent behind him. For me, that isn't the right kind of role, because I'm big and therefore I have to play the opposite kind of guy."

While the Dems need to go back in time 25-30 years to dig up info on Arnold. They need only look to the last 10 years of recent history of their party while "in" office; and their mis-deeds, lying under oath, plundering and phillandering.
The names Clinton and Condit come to mind....many others can be very easily added.

This is lame.
I have pastors at my church that used to be gang members. Are they not qualified either? If they repent has God not forgiven them?
Point is; It was 26 years ago. Does he STILL do this? That would be more relevant.
As far as Clinton is concerned, he didn't change. His actions IN THE WHITE HOUSE is what's relevant.
Let's not be too self-righteous....

After hearing Sean Hannity's interview with Arnold, and now reading this article, I am about to conclude that the characters Arnold plays in his movies are rooted in his own character. I like his unflinching directness. He seems to have decided that he will run as who and what he is--and let the chips fall where they may. He's definitely got my vote.

I was giggling reading this article, thinking big labor's money may move over to Arnold now....he should have run as a Democrat, he would win in a landslide....
while Gray Davis was macking on a drunk 16 year old Cybil Shepard on the beach in Hawaii, Arnold was pumping you up!

Well, at least Arnold won't reverse the moral decay if he becomes Governor. I hope all our children hear this. Hopefully it will inspire them not to become bodybuilders. And you thought California was the laughingstock of the world now. Wow, there is enough dirty jokes here for his entire term.

I wonder how long before Maria gets po'd at the Clinton strategy and calls Uncle Teddy to have them stop the smears?
Think Teddy will put family first?

Interesting article. Glad he said good things about gays, they may appreciate that he has been open-minded for so long. I found his analysis and comments about bodybuilding extremely perceptive. He is a smart man.
He said stuff about drugs and sex, and I wonder how much was true and how much was playing to the audience of the magazine. Even if true, though, I am not shocked and doubt many people will be. People who find this just scandalous, I think, would not have voted for him anyway. He was a grown-up and said candid grown-up things and I respect him for that.
As for this being comparable to Clinton, I don't see any suggestion of alleged rape, or of lying under oath, or of improper conduct on taxpayer time.
Since Democrats really have no standing to hold this stuff against anyone, I find its release curious. I have a sneaking suspicion that Arnold's camp itself is getting this stuff out early, so there are no last-weekend surprises as in 2000 that might cause actual damage. The opposition would have waited longer. This just creates more buzz around Arnold and will suck air and discussion time away from the other candidates without doing him much if any damage.
