Several possible candidates have emerged in the race to beat Sen. Harry Reid after Republican Congressman Jim Gibbons decided not to run.

The first to enter the fray is Richard Ziser, former chairman of the Coalition for the Protection of Marriage. Ziser's group backed an initiative to prohibit Nevada's constitution from recognizing gay marriages, which voters approved in 2002.

I'm not sure. I really think that Gibbons should have run; I've heard he has great numbers in the state and could raise alot of money at the drop of a hat. I think I would like to see Secretary of State Dean Heller run and have this guy move aside.
