The lady sitting next to me was even begging me to "not make a scene", to "just do what they ask"... how sad.1999: Lady: "Don't make a scene. Just do what they ask. Let them search your bag."
1941: Lady: "Don't make a scene. Do what they ask. Get aboard the cattle car."

After 7 years, you don't have to report any arrest or even a conviction.

Cop: May I search your car?
My brother: What is your probable cause?
Cop: Have a good evening, sir.
(Cop walks back to cruiser and leaves).

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to post this.

"I was ticketed for an assault nearly seven years ago when I was very young. I maintained my innocence and the charge was later dismissed at state's cost...now I find myself getting racked over the coals all over again for a mere allegation."
Bush got stopped a loooong time ago (a lot longer than 7 years) for DWI. He admitted it, paid his dues, and the charge was expunged from his record (meaning it supposedly no longer existed). Sure didnt keep democrat operatives from announcing it to the world days before the election! (Yeah, I know, I know. Daddy bought off authorities to get it expunged, etc., etc. DNC talking point #432.)

Sir, you REALLY have me confused! You have posted (on your personal website) "I've seriously thought of expatriating to a foreign country
Russia might be neat for a few years", yet you seem to think we're getting ready to have similar circumstances here in 'AmeriKA', as you spell it. Why would you want to leave our freedoms here and move to real tyranny?

Do the ideologues now get to start shooting people? Huh? Huh? Can they? Huh?

The Cold War is over, Communism has failed, and Russia is our friend now.

Well OK, but only if you promise to clean up after yourself.

Communism has failed everywhere but in the State Department and Congress.

I had thought that "Future Felons of America" was the official name of the Young Republicans.

"Merely sitting in a car while someone breaks the law without your prior knowledge is not conspiracy."
True, so very true, but when you are dragged into court, how are you going to prove the negative? Your honor, my client had no knowledge of what was going on while he was in the car. Yeah, sure!

"We are no longer capable of not being criminals."
A sad fact which I was pointing out to someone just yesterday. I once told my father, may he rest in peace, that if everyone were caught, convicted and sentenced every time a law was broken we would have to convert the entire country into a prison and the last judge would have to slam the door behind himself after sentencing himself. Actually that is just about what we live in now, a giant prison.

I'm talking about a good mother, ripped away from her children because her religion forbids her to pay income taxes This is where I stopped reading because I was laughing so hard.

"post-Constitutional America" bump.
Socialism operated by lawyers and alphabet cops is the most dystopian future imaginable.
Citizens' lives would be consumed in fighting lawsuits, regulatory offences, and casual assaults by uniformed thugs. Oh H*ll, we're several years away from that - everyone can go back to sleep!
Telling lies to wrongful authority is the duty of a truthful man, imo.

Sort of like the telescreens that were used in Orwell's 1984.

We are living in post-Constitutional America, a half-step away from an open tyranny.
A primary indicator: now its the case that governments really only know how to ban and restrict things. They do little else.

"After 7 years, you don't have to report any arrest or even a conviction."
You are right that it is not supposed to be held against you after 7 years. BUT, they can still do a background check and it will still be on your "criminal" record.
