UNITED NATIONS (CNN) -- The U.N. Security Council unanimously passed a resolution Tuesday that aims to strengthen protection of its personnel and other humanitarian workers throughout the world.

The 15-member Security Council passed the resolution one week after the United Nations' Baghdad headquarters was destroyed by a truck bomb.

"Let me get this straight -- The UN can kill, bomb, plot and maim; but anyone defending themselves from UN "activity" is a war criminal?"

Yes, you've got it straight. This is what is so troubling about the International Criminal Court. What so many people don't understand. Glad that Bush backed out of it. But how long will the U.S. be out of it in the future.

hey, I'll admit to thinking Bugs made a sexy TV lagomorph, but trying to visualize the notional offspring of such an union... shudder!
Want worse? Marvin the Martian x Porky Pig.
Imagine the pillow talk, and that's as far as I'll go in public on this.

The CNN propagandist at least has some knowledge of the CRIMES committed by those supporting the ICC -- the service uses the phrase "World Justice" not "World Law." IT IS A FEDERAL CRIME TO CONSPIRE TO OBTAIN PROPERTY IN VIOLATION OF U.S. LAW, EVEN AS A GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL, IT IS CALLED THE HOBBS ACT -- THE ICC IS PREMISED ON THE SCHEME OF ALLOWING UNELECTED GLOBAL RADICALS SEIZE/STEAL YOUR PROPERTY LOCATED IN ICC MEMBER STATES. This means that unless the US becomes a party to this madness, if the ICC prosecutes an American citizen/soldier, EVERY ADVOCATE OF THE ICC WITHIN THE U.S. BECOMES PART OF THE CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY to steal the property of that target.

Ya,
Ive come to the conclusion that UN 'Peacekeeping' is only an orwellian euphemism for 'WarProlonging'. Sort of like the word 'Fireman' became the person who torched peoples houses in the Ray Bradbury story.

The United Nations 'Peacekeeping' also seems to echo euphemistically of the odd combination 'Authoritarian Pacifism'. As with any pacifism it necessarily invites escalating acts of warfare upon anyone who practices it. The UN's Blue helmeted Authoritarian Pacifists play the part of the 'Toadies' who hold the arms of the person or nation being victimized by the high school bully, or terrorist group.

The interesting thing about pacifism is that it can only thrive within an environment where they are protected from attacks. However, that environment is constantly threatened as these pacifists become politically active and begin to insist on the pacification of the National Defense infrastructure.

This is the reason why you notice that there is no outrage regarding the atricities of the chinese or the north koreans. In America the squeaky wheel gets the grease, in those countries the squeaky wheel gets the bill for the bullet sent to your family.

It just seems to me that the UN is increasingly setting itself up as 'The World Leader' with the secretary general becoming literally 'The King of the World'. No matter how you look at it, that is what it will amount to. But if you point this out you will be shouted down. Nobody will understand what you are saying because of all the 'nice sounding' words that have been associated with them. And once we have ceded a sufficient amount of sovereign power to foreign interests the Constitution of the United States will have been successfully subjugated.

U.N. makes attacks on workers a war crime .......

Does issuing a parking ticket to an illegally parked UN diplomat fall under this ruling?

But OK if you bomb Jews on busses

Or Americans, or ordinary Iraqi's. Just don't do those UN ubermenchenworkers. That's beyond the pale.

Amazing how anti-terrorist the U.N. gets when suddenly THEY find themselves in the Islam-o-Nazi gunsight.

I know this may bring out the tinfoil, but ... That's assuming it was the Islam-o-Nazies that did the deed. Remember the "communist" who burned the Reichstag?

Conceded. No fingerprints on it yet so we don't know who the perps were. Or if we do I haven't seen much on it.

But I hope you are not insinuating that the U.S. forces did it.

Did it benefit the US forces? Not particularly, did it allow for an increase in UN power? Most definitely. "See who benefits" is the political corollary to "Follow the Money".
