[history]
My party, the Republican Party, has failed me and thousands of other blue-collar workers across the nation.
Thousands, maybe millions, of us voted Republican because of the Democrats' social agenda. We have been the forgotten voters in the Republicans' dash to appease their business and influential friends. They forget who put them in office and who may not put them back in for another term.

What happened to the rock solid mandate that Republican voters gave to our legislators in 2002?
I heard alot of talk from them for about a week after the election. There were big plans and a asense of 'operating from a position of strength. Have they performed in a manner consistent with that mandate? Have they been held accountable? Should they " ? Will they "?
I, for one, am very disappointed. I will not be maxing out contributions until I see some recognition, respect and action from elected officials.
I see the Dems fighting every day for their supporters using all means possible. It is a little frustrating. The performance of Bill Frist defines the problem.

I pretty much agree with this letter to the editor. I have been really disappointed with the pork spending that has only gotten bigger since Republicans took control. Also, the Senate redid the Senate Spa and the Republicans refuse to release the amount spent. The line between the two parties becomes more and more blurry everyday.

I wish we had a real Ronald Reagan conservative to vote for. Bush is not a conservative, he is a moderate. And if he does not start doing somethinfg about the economy and jobs he will lose. This issue has legs and it is growing.

and then his free traitor buddies will say the sentiments in the letter are really "racist" because they reference illegal immigrants and offshoring....same old, same old

Texas_Dawg will be here shortly saying 'we're all gonna die' Nah I'll do that.
We're all gonna die!!!!
Anyway you should have the etiquette of pinging Texas Dawg, if you mention him by name in a reply.
But what the hey, I can understand your plight. You Buchananites are to busy worrying about the end of the world, and going ga-ga over letters to the editor.

They have forgotten their pledge in 1996 to improve our standard of living.Since when was it the government's job to improve ANYONE'S standard of living? I understand that the buggywhip industry is still ticked off at Teddy Roosevelt for not opposing the infant automobile industry.

I wish we had a real Ronald Reagan conservative to vote forProposed concept behind NAFTA in 1979
Reagan himself was a dreamer, capable of imagining a world without trade barriers. In announcing his presidential candidacy in Nov. 1979, he had proposed a North American accord in which commerce & people would move freely across the borders of Canada & Mexico. This idea, largely overlooked or dismissed as a campaign gimmick in the US, rankled nationalist sensibilities in the neighboring nations. But Reagan was serious in his proposal. Though he traveled only once outside the North American continent during his first 57 years, he was neither insular nor isolationist. California has windows to the world in Asia, and Reagan thought of the US as a Pacific power as well as an Atlantic one. He also had a Californians consciousness of Mexico and an actors appreciation of Canadians, who are well-represented in the film community. The dream of a North American accord would drive the successful pursuit of a US-Canadian free trade agreement and a future-oriented framework trade agreement with Mexico.

I am not a supporter of Pat Buchanan. Nor do I think the world is coming to an end (where did that even come from?)
I am just tired of government getting bigger while my family does with less and less.
I am sick and tired of the government wasting my money!
To: Willie Green
Hey Californians, send a message to the fatcat Republicans, by electing Sen. McClintock. Elect Arnold, and your sending a message to keep the status quo.

The buggywhip type argument Rush uses is totally
off base.
The manufacturing jobs were not and now the high tech
jobs are not going away because the industries
are being replaced by something better because
tech advancements.
They moving overseas because use of slave labor
and subsidized exports that we do not defend
against In fact in NAFTA the government helps
to pay for the costs of relocating plants
to Mexico!
