What you say is true, AND they're not beyond redemption (for that matter neither are Democrats..., maybe). The article is interesting in that it's not a likely spot to find a pastor, and yet it should be the most likely spot to find a pastor. In the words of Jesus--

"Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I came not to call the righteous, but sinners." Mark 2:17

Lighten up, Jmouse!

Why? What he said is true.

It's an imitation of an old pagan ritual. Very 1920's Germany.

I know by my appearance that most Christians wouldn’t have given me the time of day on that street.

Groovy (but not particularly Christ-like).

What part of "Go into all the world" did you not understand?

Go into all the world - and what? Become part of it? In my long-ago post, I was commenting on the pastor's participation in an event described thus:

The Burning Man is a no-holds-barred New Age "Woodstock" style festival, where neo-pagans, wiccans, transvestitie entertainers, and back-slidden Christians go to trance, perform rituals, burn sacrifices to pagan gods and goddesses, dance in the nude, engage in sex, and otherwise "express" themselves and become one with Gaia. Attendees set up theme camps such as "Lost Vegas," "Motel 666," and "Crucifixion With a Celebrity" (where one can purchase a picture of a crucified obese Elvis). Hamburgers are sold by devil-worshippers at the McSatan cafe, and T-shirts are available that proudly proclaim, "Praise The Whore." related thread.

The paganism, group sex, devil-worshipping, etc., strike me as just a tad inconsistent with Biblical teachings. I guess that's the part of "go into all the world" I don't "understand."
