That life comment is very dishonest. Schwarzenegger cannot affect abortion policy. Abortion policy will only be effected by new cases brought before the Supreme Court. If it were otherwise no abortions would be taking place in Texas or Florida.

SAN FRANCISCO (WOMENSENEWS)--In a move to ensure that California women continue to have access to abortion services even if federal laws legalizing the practice are overturned, legislators have introduced a bill updating the state's abortion laws while expanding access to non-surgical abortion methods like Mifepristone, also known as RU-486 or the abortion pill...

California is the only state where lawmakers are seeking to update their abortion laws. The proposed Reproductive Privacy Act would maintain women's right to abortion in the state by guaranteeing the right to privacy around reproductive-health decisions, including abortion under all circumstances.

That is not true and frankly I don't appreciate the ad hominem.

Let me list just a few of the examples of bills affecting human life, since we do have Amendment X in the US Constitution:

Parental Notification
Parental Consent
Regulation of Abortion Clinics
"Women's Right to Know" legislation, on abortion
Partial birth abortion ban
Ban of other late term abortions
Legislation that interferes with the freedom of pro-life activists
Fetal tissue legislation
Euthanasia legislation
Tax funding of abortion
Adoption policies
Deadbeat dad policies
Father's rights policies

A part of our problem is that *our own conservatives* tend to see much too much as federal and judicial issues, instead of getting after legislatures and governors to do what they were elected to do.

Schwarzenegger cannot affect abortion policy.

Not entirely true. Sch cannot change the SCOTUS decision--but he can seriously affect Cali tax dollars going toward abortion. Look at what GWB has done--all positive.

That is incredibly ignorant

-- you know you're just making stuff up now. States can restrict abortion in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Did you not notice Gray Davis bragging about the 6 (5?) pro-abortion bills he's signed while in office?
