GUN RIGHTS POLICY CONFERENCE

"GUN RIGHTS = FREEDOM"

National gun rights leaders will be joining with hundreds of local and national activists for the 2003 Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC) in Houston Texas on September 26th 27th and 28th. This year's FREE conference will provide gun owners with necessary information and networking to defend themselves and their heritage against hysterical anti-gun foes in the media, classrooms, courtrooms and legislative bodies. The theme for the 2003 GRPC is: "Gun Rights = Freedom". GRPC 2003 will feature panel discussions and questions & answer sessions on a wide variety of crucial topics including: Legal battles, gun rights in the 2004 Presidential and Congressional races, Expanding the Right to Carry and Reciprocity, Federal State and Local updates, and other gun rights battles.

Many past GRPC participants return year after year because they recognize the GRPC as the best place to meet national pro-gun leaders, network with gun activists and enthusiasts from around the country and build grassroots connections with other local gun activists.

"This is your best chance to find out the opinions and strategies of national gun-rights leaders and organizations for the future of the gun-rights movement," said Alan Gottlieb, Second Amendment Foundation founder. "These same top leaders will also be at the GRPC to listen to your personal ideas and goals."

The conference features top gun-rights leaders and special guests who will focus on creating legislative, legal and educational strategies to increase our victories in the coming year.

Speakers will include: Joe Tartaro, Editor of Gun Week; Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation; Joe Waldron, Executive Director of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms; Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX); Texas State Land Commissioner and father of the Texas’ concealed carry law, Jerry Patterson; the father of Alaska’s new "Vermont style" carry law, Alaska State Representative Eric Croft; Tom Gresham, the host of syndicated radio program Gun Talk; the Executive Vice President of the NRA, Wayne LaPierre; and noted author and scholar John Lott, as well as leaders of the Houston Gun Collectors Association, Texas State Rifle Association and The National Shooting Sports Foundation.

In addition to analyzing future opportunities and current strategies, attendees will participate in discussions of all areas of the gun rights debate, including how to counter anti-gun claims, become more involved in the pro-gun movement, and affect future legislation and elections.

Early reservations are recommended because space availability is limited and registrations are coming in faster than normal. The event takes place on September 26th, 27th and 28th at the George Bush International Airport Marriot Hotel in Houston Texas.

GRPC participants are eligible for a special room rate of only $89 a night. So start making plans today for the 18th annual GRPC before rooms and flights fill up.

To register for GRPC, please contact the Second Amendment Foundation at (425) 454-7012 or write to: GRPC 2003, 12500 NE Tenth Place, Bellevue WA 98005. You can also register or submit agenda items by faxing (425) 451-3959, or by sending E-mail to: GRPC@saf.org

I'll try and make it(probably will). I was at the Cincy conference in 2003, and it was well worth it. It's a great place for information and networking. I've also never heard John Lott or Ron Paul speak in person, and this will be a first to me if I can make it.

Are you going this year?

I'll have to take note and sleep on it. I wasn't planning on going until you put a bug in my ear.

It's possible, but not probable. I have to see my goddaughter in Florida this month. She's eight now.

I already have the room reserved and just paid for my airline ticket.

Now, if I can keep from getting arrested by the TSA I'll be there for the conference.

I'm really looking forward to it after missing it last year in Phoenix.

They scheduled it precisely on the dates of Rosh Hashannah, the most important Jewish holiday of the year. I guess they were wondering why the conference facilities are generally so cheap that week.

That's suprising since I believe Alan Gottlieb (who's in charge of this)is Jewish.

Larry Pratt was there in 01. I don't know if he'll be there or not this year. Angel Shamaya (KABA) was there in 01 as well.
