I'm not sure about the husband/parents relationship. His actions are very antagonistic. Terri's mom and dad have begged him to release his guardianship to them, even to the point of signing all the malpractice money over to him, and he refuses.
The courts refuse to consider the x-ray evidence of abuse, saying it's been too long. Course, the husband had sealed the medical records almost from day one. He also plans to have Terri's body cremated immediately after she dies, which would be perfect to hide his crimes.

The good news today is Jeb Bush has fought to get her a guardian, so a reprieve, but there is going to be a fight;(
