Personally, I say leave the monument. If a Jewish, Muslim, Wiccan etc. judge or organization would like to erect a similar monument, within limits to size etc, let them!

I agree.
Everybody gets to "play" religion, or Nobody does.
In a capitalistic system all religions should be given equal liberty, and may the system that works best (in getting people to spiritual center with God) wins.
The "my way only" is equivalent to a "monopoly" and I suspect the judge is a religious "monopolist". Too bad he denied others the access he demanded for his own "statue". This could have easily been avoided. But then again, he wanted this controversy, for political gain... I believe.
And so do his colleagues.
