Geoghan may have deserve to die, but that should have been the State's decision. Unfortunately, Massachusetts has no death penalty. Geoghan's murderer will continue to serve his life sentence without any real punishment. Say what you will about California, at least we've a death penalty.

Say what you will about California, at least we've a death penalty. And in Oklahoma we use ours. I only hope with the newly popular DNA testing available the ratio of those taking advantage of the opportunity to check out of our lovely penal system via this route is vastly improved. For the state to kill one innocent person is one too many.

Which undoubtedly the reason either this convict was chosen or volunteered to do this deed. There's a definite hierarchy within those walls and the death penalty had been passed down on this pedophile. That is the one criminal act that even convicts do not tolerate.
