Garbage. The criticisms of Arnold merely point up how poorly he appeals to the conservative base. He can still do something about that. He doesn't have to move so far right that the mushy moderate middle panics its mewling way to Bustamante. But he needs to do something.

He's electable if he wants to be electable. So far he's given no clear signal he wants to be electable.

So far he's merely served notice that he seems to believe he is entitled to support because he's Arnold and has an "R" next to his name.

He will NOT win by stiff-arming conservatives and pandering to the left.

Today I heard on the radio that Arnold has began to attack Bustamante. He was quoted as having said that Bustamante is just Gray Davis with a receding hairline and a moustache.
