On Wednesday August 27 a joint session of the Assembly and Senate Judiciary committees will hear testimony and public comment on Proposition 54.

The legislative staff sent the following message:

"Just wanted to let you know that groups and individuals have been contacting us who want to submit letters in opposition to the proposition for the hearing record.

If you know of any groups or individuals that would like to do the same in support of the proposition, their letters would be welcomed as well.

They can be addressed to Senator Martha Escutia and Assemblymember Ellen Corbett (the chairs of the Senate and Assembly Judiciary committees).

We would be appreciative if some letters in support of Proposition 54 could be entered into the record as well.

Please take a few minutes and fax in a supportive letter.

Please share this email with any groups or clubs that are also supportive of Proposition 54.
