Perhaps if Bush threw the Road Map into the garbage, made a few judicial nominee recess appointments, and actually had something to say about the awful recent ruling sof the Supreme Sodomists, then his base would be more excited.

Agreed. I don't see too many conservatives really excited about Bush and that will be the key factor in 2004. If he can re-excite his base then he will have a chance but if he does not then he will be just like his dad.

And maybe I, and so many other conservatives, would become a part of his base. Till then, I don't see muchh about him that I like. Better moral charachter than Clinton by far, but no real difference in the direction the country is being moved. Or any genuine effort to change that direction, or even to discuss whether it's the right or wrong direction.

Sometimes I just wonder about the republican base. The base if it doesn't get its way would prefer to let a democrat win. Go figure.
