Starting next month, two of Talk Radio Network's syndicated hosts will compete head-to-head for nighttime talk listeners in New York City: On Sept. 2, Laura Ingraham's program will begin airing in the 7-9pm slot on WABC.
The final hour of her show will go directly against TRN's Michael Savage, whose program debuted last week in the 8-10pm shift on crosstown Talker WOR.
Upon Ingraham's arrival at WABC, Mark Levin and Monica Crowley will move their shows to 6-7pm and 9-10pm, respectively, while ABC Radio Networks' syndicated Larry Elder is dropped from the station's lineup.

YAWN I guess she's better than the unbearable Monica Crowley, but not by much, and that annoying twangy voice.
WOR rules with Grant and Savage. If they could only bring back Tom Marr and ditch O'Reilly it would be perfect.

I agree. laura will be gone in 6 months tops.

I really do not like Monica's voice and have heard similar from others. She is very irritating, and has nothing original to say. But then again, neither does Hannity.
To: Dr. Scarpetta
It'll be Ingraham vs. WOR's Michael Savage Kind of like Flipper vs. Moby Dick.

Laura Ingraham is no competition for Savage. WABC/Disey made a big mistake. As with their "Gay Day" which alienated far more people than it attracted, Disney is increasingly making corporate decisions based on radical politics. Shareholders ought tpo be concerned.

Hannity has been great for the conservative cause but needs some new material. Hannity is an overpaid frat boy who can't debate his way out of a cardboard box. It is painful to see someone lose a debate with George Mitchell on his own TV show. PAthetic.

If they could only bring back Tom Marr I really miss Tom Marr. He fit in so well. An ideal line-up would be Bob Grant/Tom Marr/Michael Savage. Or.... they could get rid of that wierdo Lionel and give that slot to Marr.

An ideal line-up would be Bob Grant/Tom Marr/Michael Savage Dream team. I would tune in every day for the entire 7 hours. What happened with WOR and Marr anyhow?

I don't know exactly but my guess is that he was too pro-Israel.

I'm very fond of Miss Ingraham. In particular, I adore her voice. It's not a shrill, mouthy and overbearing voice.

No matter what else was going on.......I HAD to listen to James and Joel.
I wrote letters and sent emails complaining bitterly when they were off the air.

Yep, and even when James was on by himself he was great, but the two as a team were awesome. Joel Santistaban is still at WABC but James Golden is down in the EIB Southern command with Rush I think. James did leave EIB to be president of a internet talk radio station but alas the dotcom bubble popped.
I wrote letters too. I do not care about the ethnicity of a talk show host, except that when James was on, antagonistic black callers could not pull out the race card as easily. Plus I think the white audience appreciated not being called racist, bigot, etc.

James was kind of mean to Joel but the show was amazing. I would call in and get to talk to Joel during the breaks.
I got on Rush's show one time and James was the call screener. We had a nice little chat before I got on the air with Rush.
Those two guys felt like family and I wish they were back on the air. Joel is such a sweetheart. I think the schtick that he and Curtis used to get into was hilarious. Do you remember when they sent Joel to see if there were any other lions loose in Jackson Township?

The two best ones was when Curtis sent Joel into Prospect Park after dark, and to the Rambles in Central Park. I remember the lion thing too...

Didn't Joel climb a tree overlooking the lions???????
I wish there was a way to hear those late night shenanagans again.
Remember how nuts Curtis went when they gave one hour of his time to Art Bell.
WABC radio has been so much fun.......but lately it's taking itself much too seriously.

laura ingram has a irritating voice...she is a climber who will fail...she has the empathy of a fish and people simply dont like her...abc is wrong...simply wrong...because SHE HAS NO RADIO PERSONALITY It's "Laura Ingraham." Very poor form to make slanderous remarks about someone and not even know how to spell the name.
We were fortunate enough to have Laura as a keynote speaker at our first FR Network national convention last year. She did a superb job and everyone present was impressed. She also did a lengthy Q&A session after her remarks, providing crisp, thoughtful, off-the-cuff answers to a wide range of questions. Not all speakers can think on their feet as well as give a set talk, but Laura can. Afterwards she hung out for a while to chat and pose for photos, something we certainly hadn't agreed on or paid for. Everyone liked her. Nobody had any complaints about her voice.
I think Laura Ingraham will do quite well with her new ABC show, and I certainly wish her all the best.

Ah yeah... they are taking themselves way too seriously, which is why I was angry they took off Art Bell. I went to Times Square for the Millenium ball drop. I had my walkman with me. Curtis was HYSTERICAL when he cut into Art Bell's show.
I take a break and listen to FeebleMinded radio or I listen to WLIE which is a Long Island based radio station.

I actually listen to WFAN when the overnight gets too boring.
The Art Bell subs were pretty lame tho....you have to admit.
I wouldn't remind some of those old Art Bell shows repeated. Anything is better than Batchelor and Alexander....the know it alls of the world.
