If Arnold drops out, McClintock picks up no more than half his votes. That puts McClintock behind Bustamante 35-22 (assuming Bustamante doesn't get a single one of the current Arnold votes -- a wacky assumption -- and assuming that this isn't an outlier poll -- which seems pretty obvious given how far afield it is from every other poll)...and what, precisely, has been gained???

How we know McClintock only gets half.

I predict that if Arnold stays in.
McClintock will get at least a third of
Arnold's support to switch to him maybe
a lot more than that.

Simon people are all going to McClintock.
Might as well think of McClintock as being 18
or better because some of undecided were undecided
between McClintock and Simon.

McClintock will soon be in the 20s.
