Their methodology is odd. They did a registered voter poll, and then did breakouts of likely voters. See my last post above. Somebody doing this poll screwed something up.
To: RonDog
To all: rescue California organization will run 15 million in ads against Bustamante in the next few weeks.

Here we go again!

The propaganda machine is in full throttle.
A bit transparent now, though.

I think we all need to get behind Bustamante, and get this state over with. Fuggedaboutit!
I tried that with Clinton in 92 and it backfired something awful.
I's impossible to underestimate the stupidity of the ignorant and the insane when they have the right to vote.
Or have someone vote on their behalf.

the only arugment Arnold fans have for voting for him is the polls.
It ain't MY only argument. Straw man alert! What's your response to the Lincoln Club's endorsement of Schwarzenegger?

Bad news for Bustamente. The obvious Demorat strategery is to keep the Republican vote split, and to keep Republicans away from the polls.
With the vote split among the Republicans, it makes it hard for the Demorats to target anyone, as at this stage they don't know who they will have to beat on election day. Of course, if they simply help the Republican laggers they can keep the vote split until election day, thus ensuring victory.

That is, if "Red" Davis is even recalled.
Oh yeah, that is what this is all about! LOL! If the Republican candidates spend all their time squabbling about who should replace Davis, and forget to convince the voters to throw him out, then the recall was for nothing, and they and we all lose.

Sorry, I can't afford to pay for your "lesson" for the Cali voters. We can, and should, fix the mess Davis has got us into. Anyway, if the collapse of the Soviet Union doesn't convince them, then nothing will.

Oh yeah, that is what this is all about! LOL! I have a sneaking suspicion that all this arguing will be for naught --- Davis ain't goin' anywhere. The recall poll #'s are now close to 50/50, and slowing moving in Davis' favor.
To: Mr. Mojo
I think time will change that. Arnold is just getting his feet under him, but he is staying on message, i.e. Davis is incompetent, is destroying California, and must be replaced! That is the message that must be hammered home.
No doubt everyone is getting their bills for the massive, Davis imposed, vehicle license fees, and getting their electric bills with the massive increases imposed by Davis. That will have some impact on the voters!

Arnold won't win. McClintock really has the better chance he does not have Arnold negatives and has a credible argument for why he should governor. If you read my post carefully, you will understand why I said McClintock- though the better man for the job- won't make it.
McClintock has the ultimate negative, in a liberal state- he's a hard-line conservative. This means he is unelectable. It is nice to have such noble, pure faith in someone... But faith sometimes takes a back seat to reality, as in this case.
For the rest??? Time will tell...
To: Capitalist Eric
Arnold already 44% has negatives and the Davis assault has
not really begun.
To: FairOpinion; PhiKapMom; Tamsey; Miss Marple
The Republican leader is unquestionably Arnold, with other Republicans far behind -- McClintock got half of the votes Arnold got, the rest got less. And this is the Los Angeles Times, The Daily Worker/Pravda of the Peoples Republic of Mexifornia.
This is as bad as they can make it by slanting the poll without actually falling over.
Solamente cuarenta y cuatro mas dias.
