McClintock now has a clear field - - conservatives have one horse to ride!

With Simon out, there's only one conservative in the race -- - McClintock's 1) the most experienced; 2) the most knowledgeable; 3) the one with the most well-articulated vision; 4) the one with Reagan-like CONVICTIONS (not convenient "opinions" adopted yesterday -- and subject to change tomorrow; 5) the one who's from the MIDDLE CLASS so he KNOWS that TAXES HURT -- he feels it in his bones, not through a focus group -- so we can trust him to keep his word.

NOTE: LYN NOFZIGER HAS JUST ENDORSED MCCLINTOCK!

'Even his "conservative" positions are bland.'I have no idea what that means. Yes, reforming workers comp is boring, unless you own a business, then it is the most exciting news you'd heard in years.Supporting prop 187 is not good news if you are illegal alien. But if you are a tax payer paying for this garbage it would be very exciting news. The car tax. Oh-hum. Getting out of the sky high utility contracts that Davis got the state into, if you pay your own utility bills, with the hope of lowering those bills, is exciting.Conservative politics are not the stuff movies are made of teenie-bopper.

He may very well win, however, it would be a very hollow victory. But, if all that matters is that we get someone with an (R) after his name on the ballet, by all means sacrifice principle and beliefs for power. After all, that's what the Democrats do. See what the polls say and make yourself into what the people seem to want. No thanks! If I were in CA, I'd vote for the real conservative. Go McClintock!

Why does McClintock want to ruin his political career by running for Governor now? The worst thing that could happen to him is if he wins.

Or if he loses.

More likely it was because you were smart and worked your ass off, because that seems to be the secret of people of all religions, and of none, who succeed. Or are you gonna claim that when a Bhuddist succeeds it is the result of Satanic influence?

I guess that would depend on your definition of success. Jesus said:

Matthew 16
26 What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

Seems to me that a lot of Republicans are more than willing to throw out all other conservative positions as long as Arnie promises to be business-friendly.

What did the polls (not the talking heads) say about Reagan a couple months before the election? This is not a rhetorical question. I didn't live in the country then and didn't follow the election.

Only because Simon nerf'd his campaign to the point that he couldn't possibly have been any softer on Davis if he tried.

Everyone who loses has an excuse. Performance is the measure.

Between Arnold and McClintock, the person behind in the polls just before the election needs to hold a news conference, drop out, and urge every single supporter to vote for the other Republican candidate. If Arnold ends up getting 30%, McClintock 20%, and Bustamante over 30%, what good did the McClintock vote do? Bustamante is our worst nightmare. If Arnold is behind near the end, he better have the sense to drop out and swing support to McClintock.

If Arnold is elected, the Republicans will take his election as a sign that they should follow his lead and thus -will- sign off on Arnold's tax increases when (not if) they come. > This election is a salvage operation, not a chance to win big. Selling out to the Left isn't victory. It's suicide.

You are so right! If Arnold wins the RINO's will run out or silence the conservatives in their party leaving the Left of both parties firmly in control!

Why any freeper would be happy about this is beyond me.

A self-fulfilling prophecy, or an attempt to influence the ignorant and uninformed.

You go ahead and set the election-by-poll.

Me?
I'm doing it at the ballot box.

"Like what...keeping kids out of trouble and eventually prisons? We can either pay for their afterschool programs now or pay for their crimes later."

Oh, well Arnold also believes in abortion. Kill 'em before you have to even pay for their afterschool programs. Yeah, he's a real conservative?!?!?

A vote for McClintock is a vote for Bustamante. If you want to save California from the Democratic plague, vote Arnold.

If I wanted to waste my vote, I would vote for Mickey Mouse instead. That would be fun.

Get lost, troll.

I'm still voting for Arnie. McClintock should be a man and resign from the race too but he will be the imbecile that he is and help elect Cruz.

So we should stop making excuses for Arnold and focus on the many years of performance that Tom McClintock has consistently delivered for the Republican Party.

He ran for State wide office in the last election and lost, albeit he performed better than any other Republican.
