McClintock now has a clear field - - conservatives have one horse to ride!

With Simon out, there's only one conservative in the race -- - McClintock's 1) the most experienced; 2) the most knowledgeable; 3) the one with the most well-articulated vision; 4) the one with Reagan-like CONVICTIONS (not convenient "opinions" adopted yesterday -- and subject to change tomorrow; 5) the one who's from the MIDDLE CLASS so he KNOWS that TAXES HURT -- he feels it in his bones, not through a focus group -- so we can trust him to keep his word.

NOTE: LYN NOFZIGER HAS JUST ENDORSED MCCLINTOCK!

Your mixed metaphor rubs the salt in the mouth of my gift horse the wrong way.

My head hurts now.

McClintock is THE MAN. He voted for Prop. 187, campaigned for Prop. 187 and isn't afraid to discuss the problems of illegal immigration. I've heard Tom on the radio...and have also interviewed him. HE'S GREAT.

Your answers were all short of the mark and frankly persuade even more that McClintock will soon be offering to shine Arnold's shoes in exchange for the opportunity to work for him.

There is something in the world called political reality. You should try signing up to it.

Nope. But I still have a preference. And I have said that in my own state as well. Liberal Republicans don't do us any favors.

Yes, I fully expected that Simon dropping out would only bolster the egotistical aspirations of McClintock.

I was dreading the day that Simon dropped out because McClintock, being the uninspired DRIP that he is, would take this as a sign that he should stay in the race.

You know what I hope? When Bustamontez wins because of McClintock's OUT OF CONTROL EGO, I hope that the Republican Party Machine REMEMBERS this, and when they do, I hope that they decide to put an end to his EGO PROBLEMS by DESTROYING his carerr!!!

Part of conservatism is being inspired. Tell me, what is inspired about a man with an out of control ego? I tell you, his form of conservatism is useless. It does NO good to be conservative if one is completely uninspired. This means his sense of timing is way off.

He might as well be working for Davis.

And Being part of the political machine during a time when the Republicans are in COMPLETE losing MODE in California, proves my point that McClintocks form of leadership is useless.

The San Fernando Valley has been destroyed by illegal aliens. To go down to North Hollywood you would think that you were in Tehajwana. It's really sad. And to think that Nornal United States Citizens were raising there families there back in the 1970's is really sad.

Sorry, but it seems like a third world country with all the filth down there. There is something to say about Americanization. Because to go the other way and let Mexico turn California into a third world country is just unacceptable. Bustamontez will be a tragedy for the United States. Because if they can take back California, then Texas is next.

I'm voting for Arnold. And for the sake of McClintocks career, I hope he drops out. Because if Bustamontez wins, I'm holding McClintock personally responsible.

The fact that McClintock's sense of timing is so off does not surprise me at all to hear him described as being "bland" like I say, he's completely UNINSPIRED, he might as well be working for the Democratic Political Machine. Because they CERTAINLY have benifitted so far from McClintock's LACK of inspiration.

A person who has not lived in California, especially Southern California, has no business encouraging McClintock.

I say this because to grow up in the San Fernando Valley, and to see it go from being a decent place to raise a family and turn into a third world country, tells me that ANYONE coming into this country, NEEDS to be Americanized.

Because if they aren't, then they take us all down with them.

Arnold is an American dream come true. He is Americanized, and I love him for it!!!

Has a moderate ever move to the right after being elected?

Has an unelected conservative ever gone anywhere?

I've not even seen the guy talk, I know he's a drip already, just from his lack of timing. Good leaders must have a sense of timing or everything about them is dead. I am so mot shocked to hear you confirm what I already know.

McClintock has no chance. Arnold himself barely does and without unity on the GOP side, it is likely the recall effort itself will fail. If this were a conventional, longer campaign it would be different and Tom would have a chance and I might even support him. But with 6 weeks to go, his candidacy can only guarantee GOP failure.

If McClintock stays in he will have no future in GOP politics, as he will be rightly blamed for this missed opportunity. He needs to think about this.

The nightmare scenario is Bustamante as Governor of "New Aztlan"...this would be a grave threat to California and the nation. Even Gray Davis would be preferable to this.

McClintock supporters need to urge their man to get out ASAP. The longer we stay divided, the more the Gray-Bustamante forces can get back on the offensive. PLEASE EXIT NOW, TOM!

There are too many Republicans in this race and the people of our state simply cannot risk a continuation of the Gray Davis legacy. For these reasons, I think it is wise to step aside."-Bill Simon

This is what separates a statesman from a hack.

McClintock would be a good Lt. Governor, but will throw the race to the rats if he continues to run.

Haven't heard that chestnut since the "moderate" Republicans used it against Reagan in Republican primaries! Thanks for jogging my memory!

That was with 7 months to go until election day with Reagan. Here there is 6 weeks until the election. McClintock's candidacy does nothing but strengthen Gray Davis' side. You must realize support for him now is nothing but naive idealism. Tom is a good man. Please urge him to exit ASAP.
