With Simon out, there's only one conservative in the race -- - McClintock's 1) the most experienced; 2) the most knowledgeable; 3) the one with the most well-articulated vision; 4) the one with Reagan-like CONVICTIONS (not convenient "opinions" adopted yesterday -- and subject to change tomorrow; 5) the one who's from the MIDDLE CLASS so he KNOWS that TAXES HURT -- he feels it in his bones, not through a focus group -- so we can trust him to keep his word.
NOTE: LYN NOFZIGER HAS JUST ENDORSED MCCLINTOCK!

I know that McClintock and his campaign haven't made an error yet. No-one on the McClintock campaign has mispoken/ blundered and had to correct the record.
But maybe it's because I haven't heard a darn thing from that campaign. The guy is as visible as his poll numbers.
You can rant as much as you want. McClintock has as mich chance of being elected as you do of getting pregnant.

How can anyone vote for someone who was ashamed to have a R after his name during the impeachment? Enuff Said.
Arnold for the good of California, why don't you bow out since you are so concern about the well being of the State.
I know enough about Arnold's Character with his views of the impeachment to last me a lifetime.

The next governor of California must either raise taxes or cut spending.
The next governor of California will need to do both. How is any governor going to cut the state budget by 30%. Most of this stuff is fixed expenses. What is the new govenor going to do; layoff 700,000 state employees ($50billion/$70K average all inclusive = the entire state employee population)?!

I guess that you're okay with Bustamante as Governor. Some of us, however, are not.
Oh, and by the way, at this point, I couldn't give a rats bum about Clinton and impeachement.
See it's 2003 and CA is in deep Kimchi right now!

A lot of Arnold's supporters are middle of the road. If he drops out, at least 33% of his voters will go to Bustamante. Bustamante will thus win. It's that simple. If you vote for McClintock, you are helping Cruz. I agree. We're talking about California.
And what we see on the board convinces me that Republicans will go down arguing among themselves over which of their candidates is or isn't conservative enough.
And as a result they will once again help elect another Democrat.

Arnold is the Globalist Establishment's hand-picked insurance against a conservative victory. I prefer McClintock, but he won't win. It's too late for voting in California. I plan to stay home in future California elections and will leave the state as soon as I can afford to move.

Why does McClintock want to ruin his political career by running for Governor now?Perhaps because he is running with true conviction for what he feels is best for California and NOT just to better himself at any cost to the California public!
Just a thought worth contemplating.

"Based on the evidence, it is quite obvious that a Conservative Republican has zero chance of being elected. The best that can be hoped for, at this stage, is to elect a moderate as Governor in the hope that this person will pull CA out of it's fiscal morass."
Your writing is entirely correct.
I'll add that as a political candidate, McClintock is weak right now (aside from being right, left, center). He lacks money, name identification and personality.

Yes. The Schwarzenegger inaugural should be star-studded and impressive.

If I were McClintock, I'd announce instead that I was running against Barbara Boxer. He'd be the instant frontrunner, and also have a political future.
To: churchillbuff
It'll send that message to Republicans NATIONWIDE --- it'll be a HUGE LIFT for LIBERAL, PRO-ABORT, PRO-GAY ADOPTION Republicans. I don't want to see the party turn in that direction, but an Arnold election would have that effect.BINGO!
We have a winner of the "visionary award of the month"! The name on the certificate is "churchillbuff"!!

Incidentally, McPherson, who ran for Lt. Governor, is one of the most liberal Republicans in the state.
Guess who got more votes, Simon or Bruce?
Hint: liberal republicans aren't de facto electable.

You're right and if we had listen to your way of thinking, the RECALL would have never happened.
My question to you what can't Arnold who hasn't voted in years, has probably not lived in the state for more than a couple of months at a time if that, bow out and stop dividing the votes. The spoiler here is ARNOLD. I see him no different than Ross Perot. As far as I am concern he was brought in to divide the votes so a DEMORAT could be elected.
REMEMBER EVERYONE!!! He was ashamed to be a Republican during the Impeachment. That says more to me about his Character than any speech he can give spoon fed from one his "Trainers".
I would rather have this State continue its downslide under a Democrat than to have it go under with a RINO in office.
Vote for Character. We are already know the consequences of CHARACTER DOES NOT MATTER.
Explain to me, how someone who has not spend alot of time in this state, has hardly voted in any elections, was ashamed to be a Republican during the impeachment, believes in more social spending, believes Government can take better care of your children than you can, gives the same rhetoric as Ross Perot, is somehow more qualified than McClintock?
Get Real, Arnold is only in the election to help Busamante win! Just like Perot was in to help Clinton to win.
The Arnold supporters better wake up. You are the ones being used, plain and simple.
