I'll defer to you, but I'm not really comfortable at all that the valley is as conservative as you think. Twenty years ago it definate was, but today I think you're exercising wishful thinking.

I agree that the valley isn't as conservative as it once was. A large portion of this is due to the mass amounts of illegals that have moved in and taken over N. Hollywood, substantial parts of Van Nuys, Sun Valley, Panorama City and Tarzana. Having lived in LA all 40 of my years, and in the valley for the last 18, I have watched with sadness as former middle-class neighborhoods became barrios. Many of those folks now live up in Palmdale and Valencia.
However, the middle to upper class cities of the Valley are still fairly conservative, especially north of the Boulevard and further west (Calabasas, West Lake, etc.).
