Anyone in CA knows the LA Slimes is an organ of disinformation for the Dems. We've seen it time and time again during elections...whenever the dem is in second, the LAT has polls showing the dem in the rear and articles about how sad that this is going to depress dem turnout. Slowly, the numbers start coming up and you see "Can this candidate do it?" pieces. Eventually, the dem get's into the lead (via suspect LAT numbers) and the entire State's media machine is hyping the "Comeback Kid!"

The whole purpose is to keep dem interest high for showing up at the polls and creating a media promotional machine for the dem candidate that takes him from the underdog to the friggin' second coming.

It's a formula movie everyone knows. Ever see Rocky?

As you sit on the deck Ti(McClintock)tanic, playing your chello, please remind us how happy you are that you didn't get a spot in one of the lifeboats.

You're attempting to demonize someone that made "it" on his own and through his own talents. You are penalizing Arnold for his success.

Bill Sinmon is worth a fortune, very probably much more than Arnold. What difference does it make that the guy has money aside from your own jealousy.

We now penalize success?

How does this make you different from any liberal democrat?

(Nice tagline, by the way. Looks like it was ... changed ... or something).

Again, you're being a

TROLL

Half of your posts are meant simply to antagonize, attack, and provoke FReepers. THAT is called being a

TROLL

And you do a great deal to degrade discussion from issues to personal attacks.

One issue that has been raised is Arnold's affect on the state GOP if he becomes governor. DJ, among others, is arguing, based on history with Weld, CTWhitman, et al, that the effect would be very negative. Do you have any argument to put forward that Arnold will be a boon to the GOP? Or do you just want to troll to see if you can get a rise out of someone?

Nice non-reply to my observation about your tagline.

As for "pornography", is it true that you can tell if the chef used jalapeno or chipotle peppers around 8 hours after McClintock eats Mexican food?

So you see no difference between a racist/separatist and Schwarzenegger. Okay, if that's your claim I can live with it. I sure don't see it that way.

Actually, Arnold supports Prop 187 and 13, and has promised to cut spending. Heaven help us if you can't tell the difference between those positions and Bustamente's promise to raise taxes by $8 billion, and no doubt more.

I would completely and positively ignore ANY poll for the recall that is not a straight-up registered voter poll.

The likely voter formulas and profiles are meaningless. They have no idea who is likely to turn out for a recall special election. There is no baseline. There are no experiences to use for comparison. They are nothing but unsubstantiated guess work this time around. They do not know how well the get out the vote machines for either side will work on a shorter timeline for organizing and on a much smaller budget than in regular elections. They do not know if who usually votes in regular elections will vote in this one, or if those who usually don't vote will. They don't know if the strange rules of the ballot will have any effect. They simply don't know.

For all we know, the poll showing support for the recall at 60% and the one showing it at 50% are measuring the exact same thing, but with different guesses as to who is a likely voter.

"I strongly believe that the desire of Californians must come before the aspirations of any single candidate. There are too many Republicans in this race, and the people of this state simply cannot risk a continuation of the Gray Davis legacy."

Nice quote. Tick, tock, tick, tock...the sound of the clock counting down the time until Peter and Tom follow suit, and for the same reason.

Isn't that always the case?

None of them were my "favorite" candidate for a variety of reasons.

I have only ever had one favorite candidate, and he became President - Pres Ronald Reagan.

All others, so far, stand squarely in his shadow. He had the ability to connect with the voters like none other. he remained true to his principals and articultated them completely.
