Region of the USA? I lived through 9/11. Saw it from my office window and felt the ground shake-smelled the stench.

And it was you who thought I was tying from Scotland so how dare I have an opinion on this matter, remember? You live in Scotland, why should you all of the sudden care about American soldiers. I corrected you.

By the way even if I lived in Scotland that was a stupid comment on your part. Even if I was in Scotland, you should be honored that a foreigner loves American troops enough to care about their well being.

But demogogues don't see beyond things like that.

My point is that it doesn't make any difference: you need 2/3rds approval of the Senate to appoint. Any genuine interpreter of the Constitution will never get past the savaging they will receive from the press & the dems anyway. Dems + RINOs + lying press = no conservative appointees.

The only thing that would change this is when one of the other political branches essentially tells the courts that they have overstepped their authority, either by limiting appellate jusridiction or simply refusing to enforce a court's order.

Judging Bush's likelihood of being reelected based on this week's manipulated Snewsweek or other trash polls is not worth anyone's time or effort. Most of the weakness Bush has is due to the economy, not Iraq.

And, even if you turn out to be corrent and Bush loses the election because of the continuous press attacks over Iraq, then what you're saying is that no conservative President should dare do anything that will cause continuous attacks by the press, which really means they can't do anything at all, because everything they do right will be lied about, belittled, and slandered in any case.

Wait and see what Bush's poll numbers look like after the left-wing pandering of whoever the dim candidate is gets exposed prior to the general election.
