Well, as a former friend of a cousin of a roommate of a college athlete from a middle sized school in a college 3 states away, I can comfortably say it does not.

At that school, maybe, but your response is nonsensical since both OSU and the school where my relative teaches are major football schools.

I could easily see that scenario. I could be wrong but I don't see him coming back to the Bucks.

I in fact believe that the reason he graduated early from high school was so that he could skirt the three year rule somehow.

At the 4th of July fireworks in Columbus this year, Hardly anyone stood for the national anthem, but you should have seen the throngs of buckeye morons go nuts when the damn OSU fight song was played twn minutes later.

The problem there isn't the sport. It's the fans. Move to an SEC town.

Nope, we had them at home last year.

We have to go up there this year.

Driving around in very expensive cars (he has no job), reporting $15,000 worth of stuff was stolen from one of them (filing a false police report), and the failing his African American Studies class and getting to take an oral exam so he could pass it.

And if this had happened at Penn State, he would have been kicked off the team, for far less. Recall Curtis Enis missing the bowl game because of a new suit.

The "tough" non-conference games are all at home as usual. Thankfully, OSU finally has to play a couple reasonably tough games this year: at Penn St. and Michigan. But just like last year, they still play 27 home games.

I think he first claimed $10,000 and then reduced it to $6,000. IIRC.

Problem is the high crime rates in SEC towns. My theory is, it's due entirely to the "student athletes" the SEC recruits. Now in the BigTen, our college towns have unusually high IQs thanks to our athletes. *grin*

Clarrett isn't going to sue, and wouldn't win if he did. The rule is part of the NFLPA collective barganing agreement. He has no legal standing to sue. He isn't part of the NFLPA. His attorney has already advised against a law suit. And for good reasons. The players collectively bargained for the rule. He can't sue to make some one draft him.

The NBA will institute a rule soon, it will be challenged, and the NBA will win. Jessee Jackass will cry racism and claim its an assault upon young black men. We will laugh, he will find another scam.

Yeah, because lord knows we didn't have any tough games last year.

God I hate it when people from Texas whine, it's so unbecoming of that state.

I'm a life-long UW fan but I respect OSU for even being willing to play those schools in the same season. After OSU, I believe UW goes home to face a few powerhouses in Idaho and Nevada.

Oh, I got it. I thought it was two burglaries. I didn't hear about the take down.

CDs must be expensive. I guess that's why the RIAA is so upset about downloading.

snicker snicker

He's an amateur athelete, and NCAA immediately wanted to know where he got the stuff. Then he claimed, no, the stuff wasn't worth as much as he told the police. He lied to the police? Yep, filed a false police report.

Actually, I personally believe he reported the correct value the first time, and then said "Uh-oh" when the question as to how he could pay for it came up, and then probably said "he added it up wrong". I could be wrong, but that's just my opinion.

Why isn't he banned from collegiate competition? False police report on a sham car deal are 2 separate reasons why he should be banned, regardless of if the other stuff is true(but where there smoke there is fire. He's as innocent as poor ol' framed Clinton...)
