The United States on Thursday granted $38 million over three years to poverty-reduction projects in Pakistan, part of new aid to its anti-terror ally. The money is intended to support grass-roots local government and is also intended to encourage private sector groups to take a role in the delivery of social services, a US government statement said.
Last week, the United States signed a new health agreement with Pakistan, worth $116 million.
And on August 12 Washington announced that it had concluded a $53 million agreement with Pakistan on an economic development grant.
Islamabad has earned substantial financial rewards from Washington for providing pivotal support to the military campaign against Afghanistan's former Taliban regime and the hunt for Al-Qaeda terror suspects.
Washington has already written off more than $1 billion in Pakistani debt, and given Islamabad more than a billion dollars in aid and grants.
In June, President George W Bush promised a new $3 billion assistance package which has yet to be funded by Congress.

In June, President George W Bush promised a new $3 billion assistance package which has yet to be funded by Congress. When a N. Korean nuke (built w/Pakistani fissionable material), is smuggled into a major metro area by an Islamic terrorist scumbag, reduces the area to a smoldering mushroom cloud with a few 100,000's casualties...I'm sure we'll appreciate this 3 BILLION dollars of taxpayer confiscation much much more.
Is it just me, or do most people just don't give a shit when BILLIONS of our taxdollars are given to people who hate America? I'm thinking most don't.

Let's see........millions & millions of dollars going to an unelected military leader who seized power through a coup & has essentially redrafted the country's constitution to give himself sole authority.
Uhhhh.........shouldn't we be past doing this type of stuff??
