Support a real, proven conservative and you'll get a conservative governor. Support Ah-nold and you'll get a liberal RINO.

Two parts there. As to the second, you're entitled to your view.

As to the first, though, the historical evidence is against you:

1982 Liberal GOP win (Deukmejian, having upset Mike Curb in primary)
1986 Liberal GOP win (Duke)
1990 Liberal GOP win (Wilson)
1994 Liberal GOP win (Wilson)
1998 Conservative GOP loss (Lungren)
2002 Conservative GOP loss (Simon)

The last arguably conservative governor of the state was Ronald Reagan, elected in 1966 and 1970 -- and Reagan signed a tax hike his first year in office.

The article about the poll.

Polls, not poll.

Myself. I thought I'd invite myself into the discussion.

Oh, well at least someone will answer. It seems like a layup for conservatives but the other poster never has answered it. As long as you invited yourself in Care to speculate why?

I asked you. I don't care about him.

Are YOU in favor of gun registration?

Why do you think that is Roscoe?

The national media is liberal and knows Arnold can reverse a trend in California to vote for Democrats.
They are going to fix every poll and produce any negative they can against him.
I'm sure by now there are stories that Arnold was in the room as well the night Kobe was accused of that rape. When did Arnold know it, what did he know and why has he withheld this information from the California voters? LOL, they will throw anything out their and pray some sticks.

He is a serious threat and Cruz will of course get the 25% of the vote. The Democrats have that built in at a minimum because of the interest those voters have regarding their employment and government.

Californians, though not necessarily conservatives, elected dianne feinstein.

In this election, however, a mere 15 to 20 percent could win. If all the conservatives voted for a conservative candidate, he or she would get at least that much of the vote. Then you could get a conservative governor who would at least hold the line rather than a Kennedy Republican who won't commit to that.

Why are you ignoring the the gyst of my post?

Your post alluded to Arnold's loss in poll ratings which put him behing cruz...did it not?

I pointed out that was due to an erroneous report that he would repeal Prop 13.

Parse words all you'd like but it doesn't help your argument.

When you call someone stupid, it's best not to do something stupid like saying "You are [uncontracted] thinking is simple."

You meant to say "YOUR thinking is simple."

What "erroneous report" was that?

That's not an answer. You might oppose Hitlers too. (although I have legitimate doubts)

The sucker punch, conspiracy theorist answer would be because the Nazis did and his dad was a Nazi. That's B.S.

The real reason is because he's been in Hollywood going on 20 years now, and is married to a Kennedy.

Swim long enough in the radioactive waste, and you start to glow.

He probably also thinks that "assault weapons" are fully automatic, and cause huge fireball explosions when they're fired at something, as is often the case in his films.

You don't know that he is lying. He very straight-forwardly said that the state's books are a mess. That an independent accounting firm would be needed just to unravel the books. He is a businessman. This week he spoke of necessary surgery to save the life of the patient. He will be cutting programs.
And, don't forget George Schultz and economist John Cogan from the Hoover Institute are also on his team.
Cruz Bustamante will destroy what is left of California.

That's exactly why Arnold keeps getting on the cover of magazines like Time, with glowing articles inside, isn't it?

Oh? Why haven't any of them pointed out that Warren Buffett's representations about his property taxes were false?

Why empower Democrats? That is a foolish choice IMO!

Californians have been enpowering democrats for years...IMHO they deserve a candidate like Arnold. That goes for the (R) party as a whole too...we had a shot to do some really good things in '94, but we blew it...badly. The result was 6 years of the SinkEmperor, and a centrist/socialist RINO of a presdient who most on this board were creaming in their pants after he was elected. Minus the handling of 9/11...I'm pretty disappointed. Too many people have lowered the ladder as far as conservatism goes, the appeasement and triangulation is sickening...this country is going down the tubes fast; thank the neocons/globalist/free traitors/appeasers/strategeryists for that.

/rant off
