Art Torres Says Bustamante's Budget Tax Heavy

Did you hear the "Chairman Cage Match" today on the show? We have been scheduling both Democrat Chair Art Torres and Republican Chair Duf Sundheim, for what we call the "Chairman Cage Match" on 1380 KTKZ. Today we had our third installment and Art Torres delivered what amounts to be 'breaking news'.

During a discussion on Lt. Governor Cruz Bustament's 'huge' tax burden budget called "Tough Love", when Art Torres was asked about Bustamante's $8 billion tax heavy budget, Torres stated that Cruz's budget 'represented too many taxes and that it was bad for California'...that's right, the chairman of the party discarded Bustamante's budget because it included too many taxes!

Now, this can mean one of two things, (1) Torres really believes that Bustamante's budget is too tax heavy, (not possible) or (2) this is the chairman delivering another missile for Governor Gray Davis.

Remember, Torres is paid nearly $120,000 as the party chairman - a job that finds him as Davis' 'only defender'...and a paid one at that! He may be earning every cent on this campaign

We'll have the sound of this statement and debate in the morning on the "Hogue Show"!

Hmmmm? I've heard a couple of people (can't remember exactly who), saying that Cruz's economic plan is the "old" Dufus budget - with the taxes put back in which the repubs had forced Dufus to remove in order to get the budget passed.

Remember, it was Art Torres who also spilled the beans last week and said that the person they were most concerned about was Tom McClintock .. but that might have been because they really had no idea what policies Arnold would bring to the table.

I bet Art Torres is undermining Large Breasts' campaign on behalf of Gray Davis. And its the truth: Large Breasts' "Tough Love" fix is all about raising more money and zero on cutting spending. Its a rare day when you find the Chairman of California's Democratic Party make the case for trying conservatism!
